I'd previously attempted to map out a workable timeline between Prime and Rescue Bots to see how the two could fit with each other, and now that the "Uninvited Guest" episode of Rescue Bots has given us an updated timetable to match that show with RID, I've made a new version of the timeline.

I originally started with the precise connection point between Prime and Rescue Bots being the end of "What Rises Above" linking directly to the beginning of "Nemesis Prime", and went from there, aiming to maintain that connection point.

Although, with how tight-knit the final seven episodes of Prime season 2 ("Legacy" to "Darkest Hour") and the entirety of Prime season 3 were, I can't imagine Optimus and/or Bumblebee having any free time to go over to Griffin Rock during any of that time (with the Prime episode "Patch" being the sole exception due to it being a completely Decepticon-centric episode with no real-time focus given to the Autobots at all).


After a LOT of time and effort, here is the updated timeline I've come to settle upon for at least seasons 1-3 of both Prime and Rescue Bots:

Digging through the scheduling for Canadian TV channel Teletoon, it looks like the second half of the second season of Transformers: Robots in Disguise will start airing next Saturday 10th September, with episode 14 'History Lessons' and episode 15 'Strongarm's Big Score' a week after that. They called it season three at the last two conventions. The most recent trailer was for season three. When the hell did they spontaneously decide it should become the second part of season two?

I see three ways this could he explained

1). The season three trailers are actually for season 3. Hasbro just decided to release them early.

2). Whoever posted it made a screw up, and this actually is season three. They just labeled it wrong. I've seen the last episode of RiD released and it feels like how a season ought to end. But then again, Doctor Who had a similar episode in its fifth season that felt like it should be the end, so...

3). Hasbro couldn't make the planned season three plot span over an entire season, but still wanting it to be included in the show. So, they decided to add the already in production episodes at the tail end of season two.

And I most certainly could be wrong.

Option 4, the episodes that are upcoming this Saturday and onwards are referred to as both 2.5 and 3, either through production or editorial changes.

If I'm not mistaken, one of the official reps at a recent convention essentially said that whilst everyone colloquially refers to it as S3 (and I imagin that's more what itll feel like in terms of plotlines), in official terms it's technically the latter half of S2.

The toy producers don't know all the details of the animated series (and vice versa), the statement "we're calling it season 3" speaks volumes. Jeffrey Combs once referred to what we now know as "Predacons Rising" to be "season 4" of TF Prime.

The only thing I took away from that short answer is that there will be "more episodes in the fall", what they are ultimately categorized as is still unknown. As some have stated, I hope SDCC sheds some more light on what is to come.

I don't get to toot my horn usually ever...but I have to say... called it! --on these new episodes being a continuation of season 2, and NOT season 3....That's not to say there wont be a season 3...but season 2, like season 1 will most likely have 26 episodes (so we are currently getting 14-26 of S2) .

Also the news it is coming so quickly, at least in Canada, several websites should have it able to stream shortly after its broadcast this Saturday.

Looks like Ryan/Seibertron finally got his wish in today's episode of Rescue Bots with there being an enemy Cybertronian in this one (albeit, a Mini-Con rather than a Decepticon).

And it was another crossover with RID as the Mini-Con was a Cyclone and Sideswipe guest-starred.

With Sideswipe aware of what Cyclones are, this episode would logically have to come after the six RID shorts that formally introduced the Cyclones, as the second short had him unaware of what Cyclones were and needing to be told about them by Drift's Mini-Cons.

Additionally, Sideswipe sarcastically comments on both "Roll to the Rescue!" and "Power Up and Energize!" in regards to Bumblebee's own attempts to find a catchphrase, so this still takes place before the RID season 1 finale. Yet, Sideswipe also comments on the Bee Team's GroundBridge malfunctioning as though it's malfunctioned more than once before, meaning this episode must also come after at least both "Deep Trouble" and "The Champ".

Based on this, here's an update to the proposed RID season 1/RB season 4 timeline that I previously posted:

so far...no success in finding the latest episode i half expected Youtube to have it(but doubtfull yet?) coz apparently it has Paralon in it
