I wonder when work on the new 3D battling title will begin. Or if it already has...

It's almost certainly well into development. Hope there is a Colosseum-like story mode or at least those fun mini-games like Stadium had.

I just felt I should let you guys know-

If you need ANY Pokemon, I can get it. Legendary's won't be legit, but no one will be able to tell, and they can be used for linked and online battles.(Start at lvl 20)

Anything else I can breed with my ditto and get you just about any move set you want.

I've got all 493 for Diamond/Pearl.

If anyone is interested just pm me, and we'll get something set up.

I just discovered that the Shiny Leaf does NOT carry over into Gen5. I'm really really sad about this too, because I really liked the Leaf Crown... =(

Also I'm told the data that stores information about the Shiny Leaves is wiped out by the Pokéshifter too. So should it ever come back in the future they'll all have to be collected again.

Not only that but I'm told there are no new ribbons to collect! This is rather disappointing!

Despite the fact that there are quite a bit of 5th Gen-ers I don't like, there's also a few I think are just awesome.
Especially Ononokusu and Urugamosu(it's American name is just ugly, Ulgamoth, really? ick), Genosekuto could have been cool but they really screwed up on it's face.

I would imagine the Pokémon have gone through several stages of design with several people/teams, and Ken Sugimori merely provides their finalized art.

I've been having Pokemon on the brain pretty bad recently. I recently played through Emerald and in the course of one week captured all three weather dragons, all three legendary golems, and I beat both the Elite Four and Steven.

My strategy for the Elite Four was "Focus on type advantage, save Raichu for Wallace, Rayquaza (The only of the weather dragons I had and the only one in my party over level 60) is emergency use ONLY!" This ended up as "Save Raichu for Wallace, have Rayquaza brutally murder everyone else."

Turns out I have no concept of a fair fight.

Actually considering the l/r interchangeability, the tendency for most consonants to be followed by vowels in Japanese writing, as well as the Japanese inability to use the "th" sound, Ulgamoth may actually be the correct name rather than the usual American renaming.

Oh, I always assumed since it was so different it was the American version, in that case I still prefer Urugamosu but at least there's some hope for a good English name.

The Black/White starters English names have been released,and in my opinion the Japanese names are way better.

Grass Starter-Snivy
Fire Starter- Tepig
Water Starter- Oshawott

and the Isshu Region in now known as the Unova Region.

It's the first time they've renamed a region, which really threw me. But I have no complaints about the names.

I kinda like Unova. Sounds, uh, "western" (Anglo-Saxon? Latin? specifically reminds me of "nova/novus"), which is appropriate given it's western setting. The previous regions all had an Asian ring to them, and were fittingly based off Japan. In that sense, "Isshu" really doesn't fit an "American" region.

Starting Jan.3rd-Feb.7th you can get the 3 Shiny beasts Raikou,Entei,and Suicune for D/P/Plat/HG.SS.

Also thanks for the news on those Gen4 events. I got Heart Gold and Platinum for Christmas. I've been playing Platinum obsessively and I'll start playing Heart Gold obsessively once I'm done here.

Its not like I hate Pokemon or anything, Because I don't, I happen to love Pokemon with a passion. I'm just saying, I don't know if this would be the best place for this thread... : /
