Any Pretenders lover here who would love to have R.E.D action figures based on the outer shells of Pretenders?

The RED line would be perfect for the pretender shells, especially if the concurrent Generations line did toys based on the inner robots.

I'd be all over that. I wouldn't mind paying 50$CAN 2 packs of a R.E.D outer shell action figure and a deluxe innerbot. We would lose the Pretender gimmick, but gain superior figures as a trade-off. This would follow the Marvel Comics continuity because often, the inner bots were fighting alongside their empty shell.

Question would be what to do with the non-humanoid pretenders:-?

Like the vehicles? They could become standard leader class figures, combining a deluxe who ride a voyager vehicle that could convert in an armor or something.

As for the beasts like Carnivac, a R.E.D wolf action figure that look super alive with a mechanical "beast wars" deluxe. A figure who could be remolded into that Beast Wars wolf/dog in the main line.

I got my first ever Beast Pretender, and I adore him. I love the range of the pretender concept, and now that I have a representative of almost every sub-category, it feels great to have such a range in hand to enjoy and experience.

I could have gotten him as a rival to Carnivac when my local geek store had it in store. But I foolishly skipped. Now the only way is to pay full price plus shipping and whatnots on Ebay.

That Jazz is in pretty good shape, D-Max! I still wish he looked like Scatman Caruthers, but oh well.

Thinking of Autobot Pretenders, I got a favorite of mine out on the desk today — and I really gotta thank Kanra for helping me see how awesome Crossblades really is.

Getting one sure is less expensive than getting the whole boxset. But while I was at it...

Anyway, the one I'd recommend to get is Botcon 2015 Oilmaster. He got much better colors than CC Optimus Prime. Plus that CC Megatron is just ugly. Importing him will be costly but well worth it.

Oh, and I thought that the vehicles would have been hard to get into the shell but they fit in easy and snugly.

Sounds good, Kanra! I wouldn’t mind seeing the two bots in the shell out of curiosity! It’s so tight even for one bot in the shells.

oh wow, So they are literally hangin out in there! Well, the little plane is at least -- the car looks like there's an actual spot for him to lodge within the shell at least.

There's a bit of a rattling when you shake the full shell but it's not too bad. And if you somehow find that shell mold without any inner bots, you could customise it with a wide variety of Transformers that could act as a mono inner bot.

I got Longtooth out again -- he's seriously one of my favorite Autobot Pretenders :p Of all the Autobot Pretenders, him and Doubleheader must be the oddest!

They all have a plastics and cardboard shell from the very start. They pretend to be colorful geometrical shapes as their secret alt.

MIND=BLOWN! So it's even more redundant with the Transformers Pretender Vehicles! ;p
