Rodimus Prime wrote:I have been contemplating picking up that set, but I was waiting to see what happens at WrestleMania next year. If Taker wrestles, it was kinda stupid to make the set, as he will either be 21-0 or 20-1. If he decides to call it quits, I'll probably get the set, even though I have every WrestleMania on VHS and DVD already. How are the extras/documentary on the set? I know all about the matches, but I don't know what else is on there.
Also, have you heard anything about the upcoming Attitude Era DVD set? Amazon has it listed for Nov. 20th, but there's no info on it. I'd like to know about the highlights and list of matches...

Rodimus Prime wrote:Yeah, I wish they'd put out the info. I was gonna get Foley's Hard Knocks DVD for the epic Empty Arena match on halftime Heat (remember that awesomeness?) but if it's on the Attitude set, I'm getting that.

Rodimus Prime wrote:I watched (and liked) the documentary, and I didn't even pay attention to it. I'm just now getting into the Blu-Ray special features. I can't believe how much I actually forgot about this stuff. Makes it worth it to live through it all over again. I miss those days...
Rodimus Prime wrote:As for the logo in the corner, even though they get the rights back to WWF, they won't go back to it. They will keep WWE as they focus on Entertainment, so the WWE logo will stay. They just won't have to cover up WWF anymore.
Darth Bombshell wrote:I just put the third disc in to watch the match from Raw, and they use the normal WWF scratch logo watermark for it. Good to know, though it still doesn't explain why they use the bolded WWE logo for the No Way Out footage.
Rodimus Prime wrote:It might have to do with when the ban on their use of WWF exactly went into effect. I know it was early 2002, so maybe it happened between those 2 shows?
Rodimus Prime wrote:I did miss a few things that I thought should have been on the set:
-Luger beating Hogan on Nitro
-Goldberg beating Hogan on Nitro
Rodimus Prime wrote:I'm not getting that set, there's too much junk on it.
Rodimus Prime wrote:And now that Linda lost the Senate race (again) hopefully she'll give up and the WWE can loosen up a little bit again. I'm tired of this Mickey Mouse crap.
Rodimus Prime wrote:Not bad, but there's still no contact description. the set comes out in 2 weeks! Hopefully it'll be strictly WWE from 1998-2004. That's what I consider the height of the Attitude Era, though I think it may stretch as far as early 2007, when there was still blood in the matches.
Rodimus Prime wrote:I don't think it was the dumbest thing ever. They've done some really dumb **** before. I knew there was gonna be something, they couldn't just let Lawler have a good moment and sit down at the announcers' table. But it was kind of mild, compared to what I was expecting. Also, when they showed backstage footage of Lawler being worked on, it occurred to me that this could actually be an elaborate angle, that it was all a work, but I'm not so sure.
Seeing the more adult-themed direction Cena has gone in regarding AJ, and having the ambulance present (symbolizing imminent serious injury on TV) during the Ryback-Maddox match, it's good to see they're taking a small step away from the kiddie-friendly PG crap. Who knows, maybe they will loosen up a bit, and we'll get to see some serious stuff soon. I can't even remember the last time I saw a chairshot on Raw. Nevermind to the head, but even to the back. When was the last time they destroyed the announcers' tables on TV?
And that actually surprised me, that Maddox didn't win. I was sure they would pull some lame crap with CM Punk or something. Even after, I thought they would overturn the decision and award the match to Maddox because Ryback beat his ass all the way back to the ambulance.
Overall, this was a good Raw. Better than the last few weeks. And is The Miz finally getting his overdue face turn? I've been cheering for him since he beat Cena at WMXXVII. Even if it was due to the Rock.
