This whole Edge out coulda worked out to be pretty cool with four words: Ric Flair New Champion.
I mean honestly, Ric winning a battle royale to win another title would have been sweet. Followed by Flair vs Batista at Great American Bash. With Flair retaining the title, and dropping it to Dave at Summerslam.
It would have been a great last horrah for Ric, and built a great rematch for Summerslam, and gave Flair a chance to pass the torch to Batista.
Brillant.
Instead we have Khali.
