I kinda assumed that. After all, there's NO way Vince would have let him get away with what he said if it wasn't a work.

And I didn't actually see Raw this week. Anyone got a YouTube of it?

Wow this thread is still going? I thought it died a long time ago.

I got interested in wrestling again when Nexus made its first appearance. Heath Slater grew up not far from me and I got to meet him on a couple occasions when he was wrestling locally. Needless to say WWE botched about everything since (although I loved Bret's use in the 7 man tag match). I do not see how anyone over the age of 12 can stand Orton or Cena at this point. They literally squash anyone they face as they "come from no where" with "5 moves of doom" like the bell just rang regardless of what sort of beating they take. The only saving grace was WWE had Orton and Cena both anywhere BUT the title picture. I was one of the millions of peeps who protested by turning off Smackdown when they gave it Christian just to have Orton take it 2 days later. What was the point of even giving it to Christian if youre going to follow it up by squashing them vs one of the super trio (HHH, Orton, Cena). The numbers that following week speak for themselves. Christian deserves to have a legitimate title reign to carry smackdown. Oh ya the Heavyweight Championship is still the most beautiful of the belts right now. I haven't watched Raw since Over the Limit... until two weeks ago.

CM Punk MUST win and retire that awful piece of crap WWE has graced us with these many years.

Do whatever you have to get Cena back and have a raw tourney for a new champ (returning Morrison/Del Rio/Miz). When/If Punk is ready to return put the belt on Cena in a "tough match" that Cena sales being exhausted. Then out of the crowd have a guy jump the barrier face covered by a hoodie or something proceed to go face to face with Cena, have Cena lip "its you" and get all serious. Begin beatdown of Cena, mass confusion with the announcers (kayfabe or real), then have Punk hit the GTS on Cena. NO NEXUS ANYWHERE.

After this have him unzip the hoodie to show the old belt. Then remove the hood/mask, cut out with a closeup of Punk's face/smirk holding both belts. Unify both at the next PPV. Permanently retire/phase out the "spinner belt".

Slammy's ... waste of time. Plus they used "The Touch" which means we'll probably have Stan Bush sprouting about that. Yay.

TLC tonight. I will not be ordering this ppv. I now only get the big 4. Triple H v Kevin Nash does interest me. Although this ladder match would have been better 10 years ago.

So Zack Ryder is the new US champion. Sad, really, on a number of levels.

1). It shows how little interest the WWE has in the belt by giving it to him, although...

2). ...putting it on Dolph Ziggler, then doing essentially nothing with it for months pretty much already did that.

3). It also means we're going to have to suffer Shreekie Guererro tomorrow night. Someone wanna remind me why she's still employed there? Has everyone forgotten she was hired so Vince can make bank off her husband's death?

Oh, and speaking of devaluing the title belts, Daniel Bryan's the new World Heavyweight Champion, thus making it an even bigger joke than when it was Triple H's vanity belt. Thus, in addition to Shreekie, we can look forward to Michael Cole going on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and infinitum about it tomorrow.

Seriously, it's like Vince doesn't want us to watch his programming.

I always liked how the US title looked, the old one and the new one. Too bad they're wasting it. It could be like the IC title was in the '90s, a stepping stone to the main championship.

As for Vickie Guerrero, I doubt she is employed because Vince wanted to milk Eddie's death. I think she is employed because of it. Kinda like a charity thing. And you gotta admit, she does play a good annoying bitch.

I haven't watched wrestling regularly since Austin turned heel in 2001. I tried getting back into it in 2005 and '06, but having John Cena shoved in my face all the time turned me off for good. I catch news once in a while, but I haven't seen Raw in 3 years. I still get the WrestleMania DVDs to keep my collection going and I like watching the Hall of Fame, but other than that, no thanks. Good news is, Cena is probably about halfway done with his career. If Wade Barrett and Randy Orton are around afterwards, I might start watching again. I did buy the Bret/Shawn rivalry DVD as well as Austin's 4 DVD set, and they're both awesome. Took me right back to the 90s when I really enjoyed the good stuff.

I am pretty sure I am getting the new King of the Ring dvd for christmas. I always enjoyed the KOTR tournament. I think they should bring that back as a ppv.

Yeah, that would be good. I liked the ones from the 90s. I checked out the list of matches on this set and I won't be getting it, it seems over half the matches were from the newer KOR shows, and they sucked.

It's got the Shane McMahon/Kurt Angle street fight from KOTR 2001. That alone justifies the purchase for me.

Good feeling isn't it. The nostalgia. My friend Clay taped about three years worth of the attitude era. From time to time, we'd break out a tape and just watch

So I wasn't the only one to do that. I actually had 5 8-hr VHS tapes of all of Stone Cold's and The Rock's promos and skits. All the catchphrases and vehicle stunts and stuff. Since I have lost the tapes (I think i may have given them to someone) but I remember a lot of that stuff anyway. Stone Cold jumping a barricade with a white limousine monster truck comes to mind, as well as Halftime Heat. Awesome. A douchebag like Cena could never pull off anything like that.

And I just bought Mick Foley's Greatest Hits and Misses 3-DVD set. Can't wait to watch his match against Vader and the I Quit match against Flair. I remember that being really brutal.

I just got the 2 disc so I don't have any of his recent stuff, like his wrestlemania match with edge

Burning table FTW. I heard he came back on Raw last month and cut a heel promo. I guess TNA wasn't as much fun as everyone thought...

With Bischoff and Hogan in charge, what did you expect? TNA always felt like late 90's WCW anyway. Having those two running around really doesn't help.

Unfortunatly yes. I love Flair. I beleive he is one of, if not the best ever. However it is sad to see him on tv. He needs to have an off camera role if he is to stay in the business. I am sure he can help out younger talent. He is just sooo old and he looks like he died and TNA reanimated his dead body. Zombie Flair please get off the airwaves.

Zombie Flair. That is kinda sad. I watched my WMXXIV DVD the other day when he had his retirement match and I thought he should have stayed out of the ring. That was a pretty good send-off.
