I'm constantly arguing with my friend on the whole heel thing. He always says he hates Edge, Orton, Kennedy and others. He says they should be fired and out of wrestling. I have to remind him that if it wasn't for these guys you hate then the guys you like wouldn't be that great. Good guys need bad guys to make them look good and be popular. There is a reason you hate them. That is because they are good at what they do which is to make you hate them.

He made fun of people.

Also back when there was a lot of backlash against him he took it all in stride and didnt let it get to him, and perhaps some fans respected him more for that

He knows he cant beat Battista one on one, so he goes back to snake ways, and you are wright, Flair should retire. So does Hogan, completelly, Taker has been there for so long as well, yet he needs to stay.They need to bring Brock Lesnar back, so he can face off with Battista,or better yet Great Khali. Or maybe let Big Show deal with Khali.

Young kids and girls really like him. Sponsors like him. He has a movie that Vince is milking $ for all it is worth. Mainstream television and others of a media nature like him. He has opponents that can compliment his style and make him look good. Sometimes he is funny. Once in a while he pulls off a good match. Vince forces him down our throat trying to make us think he is popular.
I can't stand him but I see how some people would like him.

So long story short, those that like him are completely oblivious to the fact he uses the same moves nearly every damn match?

I feel when watching a Cena match i'm sitting there thinking "didn't I see this match last week? Or last month?".

Admittedly i'm probably pissy because I tolerate him until they had Benoit (one of the greats at making someone tap out) tap out to his STFU.

But in Cena's case, why use all his moves in the same order every match?

Why not leave 1 or 2 out each match, mix them up a little?

And that applies to more than just Cena really. Little bit of variety wouldn't hurt.

anyways, with Kennedy now proclaiming himself Mr. Money in the baaaaaank.... baaaaaaaaaaank, makes me think that at least he'll be part of the wrapping up of the match. with Orton's head deep in the craphole because of this new steroid scandal that was made by SI.com, i could see him either losing this to Kennedy (if the allegations are true or if vince's afraid about his reputation)... or winning it from Kennedy's sake (if he wants to use that bad publicity to attract more attention). so it's really between one of those 2....

although, if i booked that match, i'd give the win to CM Punk (he's moving to RAW anyways, along Benoit....)

The only person who should ever do an STF is Chono, he was just killer at putting that bastard on. To be honest, I don't mind Cena all the much. He is painfully predictable(reminds me of Road Dogg or Bret Hart), but at least he's well spoken and is good for a laugh every once in a while. That being said I don't think he's world champ material at all.

Kenny and Carlito both have potential, and both can put on great matches.

But it's WWE. You know they like their champs to be big and muscley (or best friends with a former champ who died suddenly and they want to show tribute to him by making his friend champ) and I can't see Kenny or Carlito fitting into that particular mold.

They could do away with titles tomorrow and would it really make a difference to what we watch? I don't think so. Yeah, Cena and HBK have a match for the title at WM, but the emphasis seems to be more on who's going to betray who first.

Then you have Batista and Undertaker, emphasis there seems to be more about 'Takers WM streak than it does the title.

Good question. I can not think of anyone but maybe Orton. His first title reign was crap because they tried to make him into a face. But not even Orton is that great of a choice with all the crap he has done off stage.

I was at Summer Slam when he beat Benoit and I was really impressed because of the lack of outside interferance. The JBL/Taker match was funny becaues some Donkey from the crowed ran out and started to dance on the top of JBLs Limo and fell through the pre-cut soft spot on the roof, thus blowing the whole ending to the match of everyone in attendance.
