That didn't actually happen, it was Hulk basically fantasizing about what he would do to them.

Also, not to deflate this thread, I don't think anyone said the original Venom was coming back. Eddie Brock is coming back but they symbiote is sticking with Gargan.

Anyone who has read any sort of interview before and seen the end product will realize that this is one of those answers that means "We can't say, but yes."

The arc is called "The Last Temptation of Eddie Brock," yeah it will focus mainly on Eddie, probably without the suit, but do you really think they could kill off a fan favorite character like Eddie Brock just like that? The uproar stemming from that would mirror the uproar caused when they killed Gwen Stacy.

Anyway, they don't say the symbiote will go back to Brock, but they don't say that it will stay with Gargan.

Hopefully, as the title of this thread, and the ign interview goes, Venom, the real Venom, will return.

I think Mac Gargan doesn't quite fit the bill as Venom myself. He technically should be preortionaly faster and stronger than Spidey already. His poor mental state in comparison to his pre-mutate state also hurts what apeal the character potential had with me.

Eddie as Venom made since. It was the first comic I actually read, at the library. I liked the cancer developement, as they were seeming moving the symbiotes out, but didn't really want to see Venom go.

I think Kaine, the amped up Spidey clone with a scar, would have made a nice alternate between Eddie's terms as Venom. He hated Spidey just as much, and the symbiote would want to bond to him like with Ben Reilly, while actually being genetically Peter Parker. Kaine useing the symbiote to pass for Parker ie look human in society could be interesting aswell. Even if it didn't last, the Symbiote could reasonably grant Eddie powers equivalent to Kaine after; if not surpassing even that.

You can pretty clearly see that Gargan-Venom is still in it.

Frankly, I am liking the new Venom. The original one was pretty much played out through all of the stuff they did with him in the 90s. It was definitely time for something different. Thunderbolts has been a very good read with him and the Green Goblin in it.

Well who cares ther is always problems with the conuity. Like back then as they sayd That Eddy and the symbiot could never be seperated againe (no not ASP#300, but the story inwith we learn of Eddys cancer)
