And keep Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan. the fact that he played Obi through 3 films and the entirety of the Clone Wars series and is so well loved by the fandom should be screaming evidence to you that he deserves a solo movie

I like where your head’s at, I really do, but Ewan didn’t play Obi-Wan beyond the films; it was James Arnold-Taylor for the Clone Wars Show, and the one before it from Gendy Tartakovsky, and most of the video games.
No background story, no interactions between characters, just Vader using the force and swinging a saber? That's exciting for more than 5 minutes?Ironhidensh wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:So if the sequence from Rogue One where he attacks Leila's ship were stretched out into a 2-hour-plus "movie" you would find that exciting?Ironhidensh wrote:There is no possible way Vader stomping ass and taking names could get boring.
Hell yes.

Sunova... crackerjack.
Still though, an Obi Wan movie is a brilliant idea that needs taken advantage of

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
True, but I think it’s more because they invested more money into it than originally planned. They were pretty well along when they fired the original directors and brought in Ron Howard, weren’t they? All that extra money for him and reshoots and blah. $500mil later, a $120mil opening isn’t that great. Crazy stuff.ZeroWolf wrote:Apparently the movie hasn't done as well as they'd hoped, as I've seen a few articles citing it's sluggish performance at the box office as a problem Disney needs to sort out.
Cobotron wrote:@ D-Max - Just want to make sure you know that the Obi-Wan movie is most definitly a thing. They have nailed down a director who is in pre-production, and Ewan has all but said, all they need to do is ask and he's in.
If anyone needs source on that. Just Google it. You'll find a million articles.

I was thinking the same thing.william-james88 wrote:shajaki wrote:So does that mean... Solo 2?
I think it instead means Kenobi 1.

ZeroWolf wrote:I actually thought the maul thing would lead...to Rebels where Obi Wan killed him in one strike...because he's that good. I still question whether or an Obi Wan movie would work unless you set it pre episode 3 or have the whole movie take place on tattooine...or I guess have him jedinapped and the movie is about him getting back to tattooine to make sure no one messes with Luke
