Do you collect other toys besides Transformers? Maybe you've got a Masters of the Universe collection you'd like to show off, or maybe you like Thundercats, Voltron, G.I.Joe, Power Rangers, Star Wars, Wrestling, or any of the various comic book toy lines. Please keep the discussions here to non-Transformers toy lines.

Yeah, I have been seeing a lot of this wave too lately. Of course since the movie was released on DVD the Ahsoka, Oddball and Cody figs have once again disappeared from the shelves around here.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Haven't gotten the chance to get Dooku but I have to say I am very impressed with Ventress this go around. The articulation is good with no loss to the look of the figure at all IMO. Just need to get Dooku and Plo Koon in this latest wave.

Off world

I haven't been online all that much of late.
My wife got my Clone Wars Count Dooku, Plo Koon and IG-86 this afternoon as well as the battle pack with Yoda and 4 Coruscant Guard. They are supposed to be for Christmas although I may end up with them earlier

Got IG-86 because the animated style is imperceptible on him; he doesn't look at all out of place next to the other, more realistic figures, and in fact looks great kneeling next to my IG-88 figure. May get a second one and then 88 can have a pair of underlings.
Also, the sheer quantity of articulation packed on the droid is obscene. My wife put it to her personal, empirical test - he can perform three quarters of the YMCA.

I wonder if she her body was from the young Boba Fett from episode two
That Leia is crummy.
But man is White Vader cool. Even my girlfriend likes it, and it is a nifty re envisioning seeing as every Vader figure is pretty much the same. My third favortie Vader at the moment, behind the one from the other comic pack with Leia, where she's the Jedi instead of Luke, the one where the helmet comes off and the holographic Vader from TAC.

Got the platform guard Clone trooper, Jodo Kast and Commander Faie.
Thumbs down on Jodo Kast, who's just a repaint of that awful Boba Fett with the 'spring loaded' arms, like he's in a quick draw contest, but sucks. Crappy.

How well does Jodo Kast hold his guns? I had a problem with the Jango from the Evolutions set not holding his guns well if at all.

http://jediinsider.com/index.php?catid=8&itemid=11497New Star Wars: Clone Wars Toy Packaging For 2009
Fans and collectors will soon see a new packaging design across all Star Wars merchandise, courtesy of design agency Pilot as well as Lucasfilm's own Licensing team.
The timing of the new packaging design is intended to correspond roughly with the second season of The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network and to celebrate the launch of all new episodes. "We collaborated with Pilot just like we have in the past," says Lucas Licensing Director of Global Product Development Stacy Cheregotis. "We look to them for cutting edge design and creativity, and they look to us for direction about what we want to accomplish with the packaging."
Cheregotis says that there are several questions raised when approaching a new design: "Do we want the change to be revolutionary or evolutionary? Are there particular color palettes we want to work with? Are there elements of the new shows that should be reflected in the design? Are there lessons we learned from the last round of packaging?"
From these questions, Pilot is able to produce several design concepts for consideration by the Licensing team, which they review together. "We'll discuss our likes and dislikes, and that usually leads to a second round of design that is much more narrowed down," says Cheregotis. "And then it is a process of fine-tuning to arrive at the final designs." http://jediinsider.net/g/generated/Hasb ... ed_600.jpg

http://jediinsider.com/index.php?itemid=11499blogid=1Star Wars: The Clone Wars: A Galaxy Divided
The “Clone Wars” goes back to the original Star Wars film when Obi-Wan Kenobi tells Luke Skywalker that he was once a Jedi knight the same as your father and that they fought together in the Clone Wars. Since that moment fans have been obsessed with what the clone wars were. This new TV series takes place immediately after the events of Star Wars-Episode II: Attack of the Clones. The series follows Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice Anakin Skywalker and introduces us to some new characters such as Ahsoka Tano a girl Jedi knight as well as characters we already know.

You know what, Jodo does alright holding his gun. The crappy thing is that the rifle was bent in the package, so it curves to the left and no matter how much you try to striaghten it out it will curl up again. But by and large he can hold the gun well, even if the clear band comes off. At least I've had no problems.

thanks for the heads up. I don't understand why they make the guns out of such soft plastic.

Have you tried leaving it on a table under a stack of textbooks over night?
