Today I got Masterverse New Adventures He-Man in from Target. He's nice, but I'm not crazy about his face sculpt (which seems like a trend for the guy) but he looks better with the helmet on.

Also got my heavily discounted Netflix MOTU series Castle Grayskull. Haven't opened it yet, but BBTS really overachieved with the packing. It came in a giant box filled with their typical cellular air bladder padding, inside of which is Grayskull in its regular Mattel shipping box complete with shipping label from Mattel to BBTS. I'm all for keeping my packages safe, but in this case they probably could have just repurposed the Mattel box.

Does Mattel not know what He-Man looks like? Surely a separate head with the helmet attached would have been preferable to one that looks terrible without it??


It's not like animated He-Man's face would be that hard to replicate???

Found this (and some truly amazing KO Transformers) when passing through the Dollarama today. The only character I know from this anime is Retsuko so I wish I'd gotten her. Still, neat thing to find at a place that normally only has KO and off-brand things.

Also some star wars stuff, it was cheap (cheaper than the retro figures which is crazy) and I thought I'd start a villains collection (shhh boush) even if star wars is a bit bantha poo doo for the past decade plus.

*dunno what hasbro have done to the shoulder joints on avalanche (seems pinless though rest of the figure is not), nearly broke his left arm trying to pose it.

Red skull may become pink head yet :p

If/when/by the time I get the colossus/juggernaut pack I'm hoping hasbro does cell shaded Sabretooth next. Magneto from the family pack is a bit too shiny for my liking so I'm holding out for one that looks better to me.

Good choice with Red Skull. It's amazing how many years old Pink Head left me confused as to his identity, back in the day. I ultimately settled on a Morlock I was unfamiliar with. Only to find out many years later, he was say it with me, G1 fans an AKOM animation error! A nobody, that they wouldn't fix.

What was slightly more concerning was Thunderbird - a Native American hero - being on the side of Magneto. Even though they never once interacted in the show? He never even had speaking lines...

Odd that Hasbro struggle to make a decent Magneto too. I'm waiting with irony for one of his 80's suits to be "the best Magneto figure ever".

The goons in suits for exactly that, batman needs someone to beat on. These guys are pinless as well which puts marvel legends and power rangers with arm/leg details that ought to have been painless to shame.

Teddy heads for Alice's gang, though Alice is going to be white rabbit from marvel legends (which saves waiting until a cold day in hell for a figure of Alice from batwoman series). After the figure with a Cheshire cat style head next for the gang

A few recent things of note to share here.



Parts for one of my G1 MLP playsets, the Show Stable.



By way of a lucky auction win, the Legendary Defender version of Voltron! It's not entirely complete; it's missing the small Paladin figurines, the missiles and discs, and the right tine of the Blue Lion's Ice Ray. But it's got everything else. This thing is big and cool.



Rescuezord #5, Wind Rescue. From Power Rangers Turbo.

This is something I've long anticipated. All the moreso after getting Star Racer last year. Wind Rescue was the final Zord I needed for the Rescue Megazord:


Now I need to get my hands on Artillatron.

Despite the limitations, I am a fan of that big Voltron, glad you got to get him. i own him and the smaller one that has some diecast parts in it. I like both for what they are, and the smaller one sort of goes with my Pacific Rim Jaegars and Diaclone

Yeah, that Voltron is really nice, so is the original classic Voltron that came out later. They did a great job making those. I have the smaller diecast one, too, and it's nice, but I wish they didn't cheapen out on the wings.

Got Masterverse Two-Bad from Target.com last night. It came in a big box that USPS was nice enough to wrap in a plastic bag and leave on top of my mailbox in the rain instead of delivering it to my covered porch. Thankfully my sister saw it driving by and dropped it off for me. It shouldn't take other people to do their job for them.

Completed my twins. Which is way harder to do if buying them seperately with any amount of time in between purchases.

I have old Mojo laying around so spiral joins him and my xmen villains figures.

As for star wars, another bad guy to my small villains collection. Clear pins look cool but as to how long before the yellow or break doesn't really bother me.

Random, but Walmart restocked the Batman movie 4" figures in the clearance aisle, probably old stock room stuff, for $3. I've seen these around for a long time, but it's always been Selina and Penguin, no Batman. But this time they had a couple Wing Suit Batmans so I grabbed one of those and a Selina. At first Batman rang up at full price, but it had the $3 sticker on it so it was an easy price change (the cashier just cancelled it and ran Selina through a second time). Probably wont get any more of these unless they get the big vehicle set again at a low price. They've had the battle damaged bike set for a while, but I'm not a big fan of battle damaged figures, though now that I have regular figures I might have to take a second look.
