I couldn't even figure out how to open a mandrake account - fortunately as the amount of times I'd just gawk at pretty things in Nakano Broadway (or stoopid tourists that had paid a guide to take then around lol). I almost got locked in a mandarake in Namba, think I'd have survived the night tho :p definitely a good place to get non Tf toy hauls from.

The Robo Force figures were cool. I did a little looking and it seems there are new figures now?

These are those very ones actually! The new ones I mean. I am acquainted with the guy who owns Roboforce and he's been doing a steady stream of new Roboforce figures for a few years!

The little dudes are Mordles from an old 80's toy line called Rocks and Bugs and Things. A weird toy line centered around monsters that disguised as rocks (different from Rocklords) to fight bugs that were just bugs. The "Things" were the Mordles that were just little rubbery dudes that the Rocks and Bugs would eat. The original set of mordles (Some designs in blue and some in yellow) came with each of the rocks and bugs (one each). They were easily lost though and so on ebay those original ones go for stupidly high prices. The new owner of the IP makes them now for $10 for a set of 10. He's made lots of them by now, in various colours. Basically everything that was owned by the Ideal Toys company is now owned by him, including Robo Force, Rocks and Bugs and Things, Manglors, STAR Team, and Zeroids.

Around 3 weeks ago, I found a lone C64 Mini at my local Walmart. It was on "super secret" clearance at 40$CAN! But I didn't bought it because the C64 is not a computer I ever owned as a child. Some days later, I regretted skipping on it because it was still a nice piece of gaming History and for just 40$CAN.

Well, today I found that this very same C64 Mini was still waiting for me. So I took it home! I had to add 15$CAN of extras like the universal phone charger for power, a USB extension cord, and a 16GB memory stick for firmware updates and extra ROMs.



So I finally played it and oh boy.... Most games are kinda unplayable because that controller is pretty crap or the game require a keyboard (the virtual one dont cut it.) Also, many of the playable games are incomprehensible or the difficulty is way too hardcore for me. There are some gems though.

And most games have killer chirptunes like the one below:



I would never have bought that machine at the original 100/120$CAN. But at 40$CAN it's a fair price to at least have a taste of the original C64 experience.

As mentioned elsewhere, yesterday was my birthday, so I opened the package I got from Japan a month ago- the main event being Nendoroid Lotte.

She is adorable, and now the trio is complete!

Stalk Mandarake and you too can have adorable chibi witches for your collection. Though Akko and Sucy I actually got from errant non-extortionate eBay listings, somehow. But yeah it is an amazing series, one of my favourite anime of the past decade.

I almost did a leap for joy getting this little giant. I'd been after him since seeing at a comic con way back and now, six years later and the robotech defense force has finally made it back to earth... Well my place.

It was missing the metal poles for flight display options for the VFs but hey. I didn't realise it can do the cannons forward position in bot mode so yay one thing I also didn't realise is that the forearms are ARMD space platforms which is totally cool n all (removable too) but I so want them to be the prometheus aircraft carrier and daedalus sub so I'm thinking of customising at some point.

As master mades first toy the macross sdf-1 it is not as posable as the later transformers. No light up head or lights, and no upgrade set (which would have been cool with max and miriya vfs). But dang it's great and of I have the song my boyfriend is a pilot stuck in my head so should others

I'll get round to transforming it whilst humming the intro later on.

Pretty much nendoroidish. Here's a pic with some of the other master made. Have to pull off the sdfs ears to lower the guns owch.

I prefer the larger super deformed heads but Fort Max came with some of his upgrade statue bust pieces that had been accidently? left in his box when I picked him up from a second hand store in Akihabara overlords next on my wants but I should really pick up omega some time soon. Titan prices £££ for tiny goodness tho.

Speaking of chibi bots, I would really love to have a Nendoroids Arcee featuring lots of cute faces and poses.

They transform Fort max city modes a bit weird (kinda reminds me of cybertron metroplex/thundercats lair/battle tank all at the same time) latest one is power master prime (though it has lots of parts forming compared to the others). Chibi Unicron so needs to be done but no doubt it will almost be the price of zeta Unicron.
