After YEARS for owning and even customising the toy I learned that you can open the hands of Animated Lugnut by pulling/pushing on the little "bomb wings". I use to pen them manually by inserting my nail in the middle of the closed claw.

So this is more something a figure might be able to do that I haven't realised, but regardless I thought I'd ask here
I recently nabbed a CW Onslaught loose off ebay and fell in love with the figure (except for a loose outward shoulder joint, I popped the wheel off and did what i could to tighten the screw but managed to strip the screw head a bit too- still, the joint has improved a little so I can't complain)
My point is though, one of his two guns has a 5mm post sticking out of the back of it, and the other doesn't- is this totally pointless, or is there some feature I've missed out on through not having the instructions? My best guess was that it's part of the mechanism for attaching Shockwave, either that or just an option for those who like their bots to flail guns around aimlessly as it hardly makes a convincing melee weapon imo

It's so you can plug the back of one gun into the barrel of the other, making a big gun for combined mode (leftover feature from Hot Spot and Defensor).

The weapon tips on SDCC Fort Max's sword & RID-16 Power Surge Optimus Prime's sword (the big one) are swappable they use the same odd keyshape parts - also cerebros looks pretty terrific with that sword too - you can put the end of Optimus sword for a different look.

Also with Fort Max pop off the side gun off hid leg rotate the waist, and both knees and slide the legs out on the knee sliders and now he looks way more like the original and stands better too.

Also as the instructions these days are so hard to read - I will also mention that the knee guns can also plug on the back of his shoulders, the handles can be used to support the gun in battle station mode so they don't flop and Like many other Titan Master toys Fortmax does have a seat gun thingy - it's plugged in the green part on his chest - makes an OK gun for cerebros too.

Embarrassingly, one of the other figures on my desk is Legends Skids who pulls a very similar trick, so I really should have figured it out

I combined all 3 FoC seekers into one massive seeker mothership.
It's surprisingly sturdy.

the guns help, but I also attached Starscream's legs to Thundercracker's leg ports, among other things. Combining them feels natural, it's strange how well it works.

I've been sitting on this one for a while, but with the previously mentioned use of CW Leader Skywarp's smaller guns as guns for CW Blast-Off, I wanted to share a use for CW Leader Starscream's extra weapons. (I have him in coronation gear about to be blown to bits by TR Galvatron.) The heads of the leg guns fit nicely into RiD Megatronus. I am head canon-ing this as tank type drones created by Shockwave with tons of firepower. Pity Skywarps aren't purple or this would look better than Starscream's blue weapons...

I think mine's more of a "Things your Transformer CAN'T do that you never realised they COULD do before just recently".

My Generations Metroplex doesn't have a visor that drops down. I've had him for ages and then last week I discovered that he was meant to have a visor that came down... but mine doesn't. Was that something they got rid of at some point? I'm pretty disappointed, to be honest (now that I know about it but can't do anything about). :-\

Nope. There's literally nothing in the head/helmet. I have the side-to-side eye toggle thing at the back of the neck, but no visor in the helmet area at all. There doesn't even look to be anywhere for a visor to attach either anywhere in the head/helmet.

Bought it new from a Toys R Us here in Melbourne, well after its initial release, so im wondering if it's an issue with the generation of the toy. Like, maybe they modified it some point along the production...

Dude. You may be one of the rare ones that have a Metroplex with a factory error. Because it's the first time I heard about this. Ever. EVERYONE have their visor. You were just unlucky.

I should get the Smartphone Rewind just to troll my friends. I am the only person I know who dislikes smartphones. I want to send them a picture of it and go "look who finally caved" and then another with him in robot mode with the caption "Gotcha, it's just a transformer!"
