I had Studio Series Ironhide and it took me two months before I realized that his vehicle mode kibble on his chest could tab in and stay securely. God bless TFWiki

One thing I didn't realize my CW Ultra Magnus could do was have Minimus Ambus tab into Ultra Magnus' truck mode. There are 3 notches near the front of the trailer, and there are 3 tabs on the bottom of Ambus, where you tab those into the notches. It's not a great connection, but it does stay put. I do prefer having Ambus driving side by side with Magnus though

It's a pretty awesome feature, I'm glad they ended up including that for an actual resting place for Minimus

This is why I think it's stupid that people believe kids will only play with figures if they have a gimmick or a pre-installed story. Kids aren't given enough credit, they're way more imaginative than people think and it benefits us as adults, just look at Siege and how inobtrusive its play features are (Weaponizers, Battlemasters, effect parts).

I remember as a kid in the 1980's, I always gave a 3rd or 4th mode to the rare Transformers I ever got. And that's with toys that barely had any gimmicks or articulations!

Speaking of articulations, I once saw a 5yo boy with his mom at TrU, shopping for Transformers. And his #1 request appart for the thing to look awesome is that it can pose like an action figure and transform.

The "dumb kid" or the "it's just for kids so who care" arguments are clearly stereotypes that need to die.

It's true that more bending parts mean more fragile parts. But it all depend on how the joints are made. I saw some toys with poor articulation that was fragile like dry leaves, and I saw toys that bend like crazy and were indestructible. It always depend on how the things are built.

I recently bought two magnificent dolls. They are from a new line called #Snapstar. Those dolls have "glass" eyes, removable wigs and are fully posable. Plus they are highly collectible and are dirt cheap at 20$CAN.

But what this have to do with Transformers you may ask?
Those dolls have also a posable stand included. A GREEN SCREEN stand. Plus the green screen cardboard background to match. Download the app, and go crazy!

Guess what? The stand is fully Transformers compatible because the peg is standard! Since Transformers now have a stand compatible plug hole since Titan Return, standard stands can be used to improve Transformers display. But with the #Snapstar stands and background, with the right tools, making special photos or stop motion video will be easier than ever!

That's one cross-compatibility I did not ex.pect!

I had posted the Magnus boom box trick in the Siege thread but this has to be my favorite thread so I’ll put that here with a few others: Siege Megatron’s blades easily pop off and back on again, both Galaxy Optimus and Magnus can remove their chunky buns by rotating at the waist 180 degrees lowering the cod piece with the flat end facing up then sliding the piece down off the back, and also of note Cybertron Wing Saber’s blades and blade holders work great with the Siege figures, as do PotP and CW Voyager class weapons with the 5mm plugs on the back. It allows you to make some cool rifles. Enjoy!

Oh and although it doesn’t look necessarily better per se, if you want, Siege Voyager Optimus can also pop off his giant back square piece if you position it at the right angle. It shouldn’t damage it and I’ve been able to do it several times just don’t rip the thing off you know? It does leave the plug on his neck but it’s just one of those neat that it can do it sort of things. Like Studio Prime 38, neither have pins in their forearm pieces and can be removed if you prefer it less bulky.

This version of 1 Step Cyberverse Megatron has 2 undocumented 5mm holes. One of the is on the left arm te other is on his fusion cannon.

This is super mild and serves no real function buuuut, if you want, both Top Shot and Red Heat’s canon/ladder pop right on and off again. Doesn’t appear to harm it but I don’t know what the hell to do with it other than make an army fire truck or an armed fire truck.

That option was not "hard to move". It was hard to see! On the original, it's easy brown on blue. But on Dropshot, it's brown on brown. So, invisible.

Movie Dropkick has a unique battle mode if you unfold his arms in vehicle mode and split the engine grill in half then you can make him use guns in vehicle mode.

And if no one has mentioned it before, movie scout Swindle (orange scout drone) is useful to give hands for 2007 voyager starscream and his thundercracker recolor instead of clumsy finger missiles. Just wedge the ball on the fist very careful between the center of the barrels.
