but you cant make anything convincing with it...

Sentinel is the only Commander I need to still get, that is out at least. Powerglides missiles look great on ironhide as well.

I just realised that you can attache Recon Irionhides cannons to Dark of the Moon Voyager Ironhide.

From the Mechtech thread, I've learned DOTM Voyager Megatron's mechtech weapon can be locked into place. When it's extended, twist the ladder trigger slightly. Looks much better that way.

All Voyager MechTech weapons can be locked in place, just so you all know. I only have these two so far:

Optimus Prime: twist the knob at the back of the gun clock-wise
Megatron: Twist the ladder clock-wise

Speaking of Megatron, he has articulation in vehicle mode. The "trailer" part can actually turn on the truck bed!

DOTM Roadbuster has 4 clip-joint bars on his missle launchers. There's a pair of them under the "wings" and two more on the top section of the arms they extend out on.

I noticed the wheels on DOTM Roadbusters legs rotate down so he has more leg articulation

so i broke down and picked up a Grapple off ebay finally, and after messing around with his robot mode, i was disappointed with the way the black part of the crane arm hung off to the side and knocked into his waist. i examined the part closer and discovered it can swivel on another joint at the base of the crane! now it sits neatly behind his arm, nice and out of the way.

That's in the United's instructions. It isn't in the Hasbro one?

DAMNIT I thought i was on to something. just checked the instructions, its there. whoops!

on a related note however, those bars on Grapples shoulders accept clip weapons, however Infernos bars do not, meaning that the entire shoulder armor is also a retooled part!

Don't feel bad. I've had my Henkei Inferno for ages when I read somewhere his head pops up with a switch in the lightbar. Untill then I used good old voilence. He survived.

Anyone have any idea what the little hole is for in the side of Deluxe Crankcase is for when he's in vehicle mode? Looks like something goes in it, but what?

He doesn't have any mechtech ports on his side. I think he means the little hole on the right side, which I think has something to do with the pin that holds the roof on.

Also you can convert DOTM Sandstorm into a battle suit, much like Thunderhead

It's really easy

you have him in robot mode

You extend the two bits of frame-work from his chest and pull it down all the way

you take the frame-work on his back and fold it all the way so that the head is covered

and plug the little pegs and fold down the chair/chest armor

and then...your done :APPLAUSE:

Yesterday I was playing with movie 1 leader Megatron... I figured out that, holy crap, his nose(thing) extends in 'vehicle' mode. I've had that thing for four years and I never knew.

Someone put something on here about Nightstick connecting to generations Cyclonus's arm in robot mode. all you do is turn Cyclonus's hand inwards so the engine nozzle is facing outward, turn Nightstick to his gun mode and theres small rectangular slot in the middle of Cyclonus's engine nozzle and a sall tab on the back of Nightstick's gun mode just put the tab in the slot and its all go. you might have to putt Nightsticks arms up at the elbow though
