but just this morning, I relized that RID Magnus' 'wings' which turn into the upper car holding platform can be pulled out so they stay up and peg into the side panels

Peg in? Where? The best I've managed is resting them on the blue peg at the back.

oh my friend, you've scratched the surface of this extraawesome toy.

okay just in vehicle mode have his torso part seperate from trailer

take the wings and pull them up, they require some force. you shoudl hear them clicking into place, and then (just to be sure) gently push down make sure you have them in place

OK now assemble the trailer onto the figure, and one the actual trailer part there should be four pegs. designed for mounting the huge weapons emplacment.

now the front pegs are on tinsy tiny arches and right below the peg there is a very small slit. now look at the wing. there is a small rectangler thingy that will slide and fit into the slit

and not it should look very flush and neat

Don't feel bad, that gets overlooked a lot.

And I just discovered something new on my RotF Voyager Megatron: he has Mech Alive gears in his chest, that move when you turn his waist.

Yeah, even in the galleries!
So the front half tabs in but the back half still just rests on the blue bits? It's a shame it doesn't also peg somewhere but at least now the two halves are level and horizontal.

You'll never persuade me that this is an awesome toy. I can't get over the robot mode and its stupid legs and his inability to stand. I only got him for the combination.

Somehow it's become a trend to have every jet feature a gerwalk mode. I should try it with PCC Skyburst or his repaint Darkstream

assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

If you pose him in a flying stance (with the feet pointing down more), and find a way to stand him on a show stand, he looks way better.
And the only real reason I bothered sharing is since this is supposed to be Jetfire (even though I doubt buy that), and his original figure did feature a gerwalk mode. Plus, I got to say, its cool to see a commercial airliner type of plane in a gerwalk mode.

And I don't understand the excitement over it. Didn't Jetfire only do it for a split second as he landed once in one episode?

Have people tried doing it with cars? Guess what guys: MP-10 has a gerwalk mode! Guess what guys: MP Grimlock has a gerwalk mode too!

rotf legends bumblebee has a rather good gercar mode:P
but the wierdest "gerwalk" mode has to be armada thrust, seeing as the legs are at the front...
