Get them both into gun mode, and flip the fists underneath Ratbat (vehicle mode) around so that the holes are open facing down and to the outside at an angle. Placing each gun into the fists allows ratbat to have some added firepower, and you now have a new place for rumble and frenzy to reside in their alt modes.

THE POWERS OF DARKNESS ARE A MORE POWERFUL WEAPON THAN ALL THE TOYS YOUR SCIENCE CAN MUSTER

ROTF Legends Hightower has a claw in his crane.
DOTM Crankcase's "hair" are hinged.
ROTF Legends Scavenger's right "hand" can become loose VERY easily.
I was able to make Classics/ROTF Blast Off and Brawl(the tanks) turn into something like a gun.(I already forgot how though).
ROTF Sideswipe has heels.

I, Too, have a Gerwalk mode...
Anyhoot, how to achieve this?

Once I do, All will be peaceful.... Though I'll probably figure it out eventually... Instructions help.

In tank mode, if you twist the hose a little bit and plug it into the shoulder hole opposite from his gun, it's practically not visible in tank mode.
all that's kinda hard to see without photos, but I don't have any...

It's because when Optimus died the second time in the Marvel comics (after kamikaze diving into Unicron with the Matrix) his mangled body was shown to have a speaker grill under his faceplate. Here's a better pic. I have yet to hear whether or not MP-10 has it too.

Maybe he wondered why they bothered hiding the face under the grill as it's so hard to uncover.
As MP-10 doesn't have a moving mouthpiece I'd be even more surprised if they put the face there.

I'm thinking it was part of the original design, I mean, look at crankcase's seats inside. A clear indicator for translucent windows correct? I Wonder how many other TFs have these? There should be a thread about that.

You think the mouthpiece was supposed to be removable originally?

That's pretty much what i was wondering... like why have it unless there is a way to take the faceplate off without breaking it? I had a spare broken magnus to cut up so i didn't invest too much time looking into carefully removing the faceplate. But i didn't know that issue was what the mouth was based off... it kind of looks more like Thunderwing to me.
I wish they had this underneath instead.

That may be the single most terrifying thing I've seen all year.
Totally need a 3rd party company to make figures of that whole group. Come on, Fansproject, you can do it! Have it be a late Halloween exclusive or something.

So these three dyslexic men walk into a bra... oh HAHAHA I am so funny
