Personally I believe that Riddler should only wear a suit. That's how he's depicted in recent comics, how he was in BTAS and the most logical thing for him to wear in a movie. Jim Carrey repeat would spoil the whole deal.

The following is a list of villains who are both a) better than the Riddler, and b) suitable for Nolan's quasi-realistic style:

Black Mask
Mad Hatter (no, really, think serial rapist with a fondness for kid's tales, with the paedophilic edge presented in "Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth")
Bane (minus the Venom cocktail, just a brilliant tactical mind backed up with massive physique)
Harley Quinn (as a continuation of the Joker plot)
Catwoman (as long as it's not Angelina Jolie, that was a horrible rumour)

In regards to Robin, I could see maybe giving Dick an introduction, like say, have Bruce adopt him as a little kid, and leaving it at that. Maybe hint that one day he'll follow in Bruce's footsteps, but for now just leave him as an adopted son. Maybe eventualy introduce him as Nightwing rather than Robin. Or they could use Jason Todd and keep it real and shock audiances by blowing him up. :lol:

And I would love to see Nolan's version of Bane and Deadshot. Lady Shiva could maybe work to. My biggest beef with the Dark Knight was that they killed Two-Face. In my mind, after the Joker, he might just be Batman's best villian.

If robin does appear he should be shot in face as soon as he walks on screen.

Id love to see the Bane from Knightfall though, that would be brilliant, as long as they didnt just get some crap wrestler to play the part.

It's the old screwed up good guy meets equally screwed up bad girl and while both want each other badly they want each other to become what the other is, (Batman wants Catwoman to be a hero and Catwoman wants Batman to be a villain) a LOT more.

IF done right Catwoman would be a great villain for an emotional wounded Batman (he lost Rachel and thinks that she was waiting for him when she really wasn't) to deal with a woman who really is his equal in every way except she's a bad girl with lot of emotional issues of her own.

More realistic, certainly, but they're not as grim as the comics.

I could actually see Jason Todd as the Red Hood. Think about it. A crime orphan like Bruce, who adopts a "Rorschach-meets-Punisher" crime-fighting style, viewing Batman's no-killing policy as weak and stupid. Have Batman try to juggle this psycho and throw in Black Mask as a secondary, mob boss baddie, and you've got yourself a great movie. Oh, and Shia Lebeouf would work, but wouldn't be my first choice.

Heresy?
Spider-Man villains are cooler and more interesting.
Mysterio is just a personal favourite as he's a bit of a B-Movie type guy who's in fact a big looser.
The real Villains are:

Make it an Elseworlds story and have Spidey have the Venom costume and Toxin can possess Batman

Actually there was a crossover, and rather than posses him, Carnage got into an argument with Joker over killing, Joker wanting to do his standard, "Kill in a mysterious pattern for some ridiculous reason," while Carnage just wanted to murder every person he saw.

Also, going back to my idea, Rather than have Black Mask be deformed and into Saw-style torture, go back to his roots and make him actually wear a mask, and be a major mob boss. (He can sill have his jaw shot off, though.)

Yes. And Robin's always at best an embarassment, at worst a drag on the story. The character was created to draw in a younger audience, which is pretty much exactly the opposite direction the films are going in. And we mustn't forget the Great Unpleasantness:

No, sometimes Robin is a good character. I liked him in Dark Victory, and in the animated series. Besides, would you rather have Batgirl as a sidekick? Her greatest victory was over Killer Fraggin' Moth. Even I could beat Killer Moth.
