There was other people besides Simmons in the butcher shop? :s The guy from the first one I didn't register as racism, but sometimes I take things in but only process things if they prove important (hence I need to give some movies a couple more views to fully take everything...unless it bored me to tears first time like DOTM)

Yeah I don't remember much about that movie, probably a self preservation thing, but im pretty sure that there was someone there. I'm pretty sure he was supposed to be either hispanic or middle eastern, though they went through enough awful stuff in ROTF. The point is that yes there are indeed racist caricatures in the Bay movies.

That's how I saw it.
cruizerdave wrote:What about the human black guy in ROTF that was working at the butcher shop to save up money to fix his teeth? Don't you think he was kinda of an offensive characterization?
He was middle Eastern, and since when is having bad teeth a racial stereotype?
Or Anthony Anderson's character living with his grandma that "don't want nobody on her carpet, especially no police!" Not a racist characterization?
He was also a computer genius and managed to contact the Air force on some seriously old computers with no microphone.
