If the Transformers movie franchise is going to be truly epic and complex, I think they need more than three movies.
What do all of you think? Have any of you heard proposals for more than three movies?

I enjoyed the first film, but I must admit, under repeat viewings, it doesn't hold up as well as it initially did. Once the oohs and the ashs wore off, I realized it wasn't quite up to the gold standard I was holding it to. (NOTE: I'm still pro movie. That hasn't changed, I just realize it's terribly imperfect.)
I will enjoy the second movie, I'm sure. However...if the leaked cast listing is real, then we're going to have more pointless humans to deal with and again, less screen time for the namesakes of the film.
By the third one, I'd become so disenchanted by it all, I wouldn't want a fourth one.
I was okay until Transform And Rollout aired. Once I saw what a cartoon was capable of doing flawlessly in 67 minutes, where a 2.5 hour live action film had failed (in many points, but not all) just shook me to my TF core.
I realized that all of the window dressing that Hollywood demands...ruins the charm and overall impact that TFs are meant to have. Deep? No. Ground breaking? No. But the movie is too Hollywood for my taste. I enjoy the cartoon so much more because it's actually intelligent, the visuals are fresh and step right out of the screen and the human sidekick is not only adorable, but you fall in love with her as the show goes on.
Sam and his crew won me over in the movie as well, but after a certain point....we got it. He was a rich, but hapless loser who got lucky and ended up with the girl of his dreams. How much more backstory did we need on that?
No. Any more than three is a bad, bad, bad idea.

We all know you don't like the first movie. You can't be serious about this.
By all means, welcome to seibs and all that, feel free to post here, but this is rediculous.

Well, with its pointless subplots and waste of storytelling time, I really don't regard the first live action Transformers movie as TF1. Others can if they wish. But to me, it should be more like Transformers Episode 0 where they just introduce the bots and wet the public's appetite for them. You don't need a good deep story to do that. The second movie should be Transformers Episode 1 where the real storytelling, plot, and character development comes to life.

addmitedly this is probbily less likely because of the (exelent) animated seris but still thats where id like to see it go.
Peter cullens not that old is he?

HUH?? These movies are Bay-style. If it went into TF4 and TF5 it would still be Bay-style wouldn't it??
