Chaoslock wrote:RotF was the worst movie that I've seen so far; however, I don't feel like bashing it any more, because DotM was actually pretty good.
Seeing the rest of the list: I don't see why people love to bash Howard the Duck, Godzilla, WWW or Hudson Hawk - they are fun movies. Now, Catwoman should be number 2. Worst desecration of a character ever.

The Last Airbender should be in the top five, and DOTM should be gone. Period.

The Last airbender isn't number one...WTF is wrong with these people?! RoTF i can understand, low on the list, but DoTM was far better, and TLA was like a train wreck mating with a forest fire. The acting, writing, and even the effects were a bit sub par, not to mention they COMPLETLEY missed the tone of Avatar. Godzilla was a similar train wreck to me, as a fan of both franchises.

It does not effect me at all. I don't care what magazines like this (or any for that matter) think of the fandom or the fans.. They can piss off.
Lastjustice wrote:I actually enjoyed most the films on that list. I mean the truly awful films that belonged on there that are....Such as District 9. I hate district 9 more than any recent film. It had excessive shaky cam to give me a headache, horribly written characters I wish would have all died.
It forced weak logic to make an analogy, no one acts like the real world at all.(The main character is coughing up black stuff and losing finger nails...yet doesn't want to go to hospital despite them building up how much of a wuss he is.) It's like dropping a ton of gold into middle of central park and no one picks up but one guy and he's evil because greed is bad. That's how this film crams white guilt down our throats with racism. It ignores the fact that our races flaws are very reason this scenario would never happen, the Prawns are too valueable to toss into slums. Between having better tech than us, and treating them poorly is a great way START AN INTERGALACTIC WAR! They found us once they could do it again.
You can have a story with fanastic elements, but the people have to still act like people to make the point you're making in the metaphor.(So many other properties such as Star trek, Xmen, Alien Nation have all used race metaphors superior to District 9) It failed to do this miseribly. I agree humans are greedy, and cowardly at times. That's exactly why we'd rounded them all up in some sort of Area 51 style miltary base and studied their technology while taking good care of them.(cat food and shelter are a very cheap price tag for next generation weapons and technology.) No way in world we'd ever let some half assed organization passively oversee them while gangsters trade potential weapons of mass destruction freely. No way in 30 years we couldn't have figured out how to by pass their genetic locks on their gear. Humans are too smart for that.
So yeah awful movie that says humans and racism are bad in the most pretentious and preachy way. Makes Rotf look oscar worthy by comparsion.

They are missing from that list, Time, fix that.
