Wow, those low-level shots of tryp's base mode make it seem pretty expansive, hoping the new one is all that and lots more

If nothing else, Titan class Trypticon's City Mode could be the most metal concert stage the Knights of Unicron have ever had.

Nice...kind of figured as much, but it's still cool to see. Has the TM head been identified yet?
never mind...had to zoom in on the pic to see "Wipe-Out" -let the surfing jokes begin!

Like I thought, Trypticon's real life pictures look a LOT more flattering than the CG renders could ever hope to be. He looks soooo much more delicious now, especially with that shade of black
And... I'm surprised at how decent that jet mode looks! I'm serious; I really like it. And it's a fantastic way to bring over his space-faring alt-modes from Aligned and IDW. Yup, this dude's perfect. Absolutely perfect.

I just noticed that too; the Headmaster looks like and has the name of Trypticon's partner from the Marvel comics! Oooooh my god so much love went into this dude, so much love! Little touches and references like that - especially when they're not forced in your face - really bring together the whole package for me. Shows that the designers on the team have a passion for the franchise.

New Images of Titans Return Trypticon Showing Alt Modes, Full-Titl and Titan Master Wipe Out
- Motto: "'till All Are One"
Hasbro has revealed, on IGN, some new images for Titans Return Trypticon. We had already seen his beast mode, but now we get a look at 3D renders of his battle platform mode and his base mode. There are no final toy images but we do get more images of the grey prototype. We can now see that there will be clear plastic on his ramp and we get our first look at the transforming Full-tilt. We also see the titan Master he comes with, called Wipe-Out, in some blue print drawings. They also provide an early mock up of the colours they were thinking of originally.
Enjoy!

Enjoy!

The Godzilla mode looks fantastic as I expected. The base mode looks OK, though somehow I wish it looked a bit bigger. The spaceship mode is decent- a hell of a lot better than the original.
My biggest complaint is the scaling. Making it scaled to TMs is a cool idea, but it makes the "Citybots go with Legends" thing a bit more awkward (those doors are far too small for Legends) and he's still not big enough to not look a tad small next to CHUG scale (because a CHUG scale Trypticon would be the size of a person).
I dunno. I still want him though.

Woot, the three modes look great! Plus, just to pile on to WJ88, here's one of the transitions from the G1 cartoon.

(The whole video is cool and makes me ever so nostalgic. Sorry, WJ88, you know I love all you news people, right?
)

Is it just me or does the tail section look like Trypticon's snout in this image?
Makes it look like Trypt's doing some mad yoga pose...

That tail is massive, the original render of it has it really foreshortened, doing it no favors on showing us just how big he actually is

The Titan Master's name is "Decepticon Necro". Wipe-Out is who he's a homage to.

well that answers the next question I was going to have...While I cannot read Japanese very well, I noticed that spelling did not match the Japanese spelling of Wipe-Out (though I thought it could have been some variance like (Wipe-Auto)...

It looks like his neck swivels around, he lays on his back, and his legs and arms swing down on the hinges on the rear of his torso.

Not really interested in such a huge figure myself but I'll say the alt-modes actually looks quite cool and interesting. Certainly much more so than Max or Metro.
I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool!

The Katakana does attempt to spell "Wipe-Out" phonetically. アウト is how they approximate the sound of the word "Out" ("a-u-to" as in "ah-oo-toh"). The English prefix "Auto" would be more like オート "Ōto".o.supreme wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The Titan Master's name is "Decepticon Necro". Wipe-Out is who he's a homage to.

He may be the most faithful to the g1 original but he also has the best city mode of the three titans, at lease from the pics. Surprised the Ramos do t seem to have the Titan returns inter city connecting gimmick (which doesn't work all that well for me)
My personal prime collection so far in descending order of how great i reckon the toy is -
FE Prime, Silas Breakdown (Powerizer), Dreadwing (Powerizer), FE Bulkhead, Voyager StarScream (Powerizer), Ratchet, Soundwave, Arcee, Voyager Megatron (Powerizer), Wheeljack, Thundertron (Powerizer), Ultra Magnus (Powerizer), Knockout, Cliffjumper, Bumblebee,Airachnid
