I have a question.
Why are Galvatron and Megatron standing facing a solid wall. Where they punished for being bad?
The X-ray-effect shows some type of window there, but in reality both those locations are solid panels.
Maybe they're looking into mirrors? I bet Megatron gives himself "pep talks" while staring at his own malicious mug. Galvatron II seems to have put on a few pounds lately, so he might be admonishing his reflection for his lack of control around energon cookies. What's up with the Seeker bunkbeds, though? Starscream is sitting next to his own alt mode!? Also, is he rooming with Thrust and Ramjet now? I thought he'd rather pal around with Thundercracker and Skywarp, honestly, but I guess Dirge is their new bestie.
I'm sure they cackle and admire their evil visages in the mirrors.
And yes, it seems Starscream is now having a sleepover in Ramjet and Thrust's quarters, while Dirge went to visit Skywarp and Thundercracker in the upper decks.
Ha! Seeker bunk beds.
I'm curious to know the state of that energon. On the way in.... or on the way out?

Great chart work as always. [center]

If only there was a full version of his Scramble City cartoon model available, since his design was a bit different in that OVA. The Studio Ox one on the far right is close, but the cartoon model used in Scramble City was much cleaner.
Thanks!
I think this is the model that was used in Scramble City (but with the nose canopy closed.) He appears only briefly in the special, but the details seem to match, particularly his backpack; collar; shoulder cannons; the underbelly, chest
and the Decepticon insignia between them.

Metroplex was done by the previous brand team headed by Aaron Archer. The current team headed by John Warden is responsible for Trypticon's "G1 with knees" look.So Metroplex was conceptualized even waaaaay back when Mr. Archer was still with Hb?

Yup. John Warden only started with the Roadbuster and Whirl thrilling 30 stuff. Metroplex was the year before.

Wow! So the development time ( conceptualization etc) is such a long incubation period. Since you also mentioned the new team now heading the effort, makes you wonder what will get the go ahead 5 years down the road.
[quote="Sabrblade"][quote="Cyberpath"]And the usual chart..
On another note, seeing this art in such a big size that shows all the little Decepticons inside him up close, I just realized that, with what the recent Unite Warriors fiction did, this image featuring Galvatron and Starscream both inside Trypticon together in a piece of Japanese G1 artwork is now completely believable, since we can now say that that isn't Cartoon Galvatron, but is instead Galvatron II! Which would also mean that this isn't Season 3 Trypticon, but Scramble City Trypticon, who was retconned by Unite Warriors into instead being an earlier version of the Trypticon who would later be created by the Constructicons in Season 3 (both Trypticons even have not only different cartoon models but slightly different Japanese names, with Season 3 Trypticon being ダイナザウラー "Dainazaurā" and Scramble City Trypticon being ダイノザウラー "Dainozaurā").
Yo Sabr, I noticed that too. Dinosaurer to Dinozer ( even in the JP Catalog (with the VS season two gang and some 2010 characters), I roughly translated Dinosaurer too.
Could that have been intentional(even back then indicating 2 Trypticons?) or mere typos or editor confusion? Like when in the US show, Optimus called Traibreaker Trailblazer?

What the F was Hb thinking back then anyway?! Gutting the combiner connections/accessories of Combiner figs!
Good for the Euros and Aussies for at least scoring a domestic release of Overlord back then.

That was more Hasbro UK, rather than corporate Hasbro, really. Cost-cutting. I'd like to get my hands on them tho, maybe get some KO parts.

I hope they go a different route with Omega Supreme, honestly. I want him to be as tall as Titan Class Devistator from Combiner Wars/Unite Warriors, as they are rivals to each other in the G1 cartoon fiction. They should match up in stature. Omega being six inches taller would look lopsided. Plus, he shouldn't be as big as any of the city-formers. What he would lack in raw mass for a Titan Class figure like Metroplex, Trypticon, or Fortress Maximus, could be made up for with extra features, articulation, deco, parts count, etc. Or Hasbro could just adjust the price point downward. I think Devastator was less expensive than Metroplex of Fort Max, if I'm not mistaken?

That's Thundercracker. Click the image to see it full size. Though, he's missing his wings.Ah, I see it now. Very odd. Without the wings, and looking only at the scaled down image at first, I mistook Thundercracker's intakes for Starscream's gray fuselage. The blue instead of black tailfins didn't help either. Who clipped poor Thundercracker's wings, anyway? Also, why weren't Skywarp and Dirge invited to the sleepover party?

Re: Transformers Generations Titan Class Trypticon Thread
Ironically now Takara is Tomy's bi**h that Trypticon looks so much like several toys they made over the years including Zoidzilla.
There is even a little kids line dinosaur that looks rather zoid like but is coloured not unlike Trypticon. I was planning on getting one as it was essentially my First Transformers style Trypticon but it had slipped my mind until just now - I'd show an image if I could recall what it was named so I knew what to look up.
I hope Full Tilt has a decent robot mode. I expect he won't have his hand gun though so perhaps 3rd parties and home casters need to think about making one of them soon.

I guess this site has more true fans and fewer jaded collectors.
Well, that's not even remotely true, but ok I guess. By any rational measure, it is perfectly normal to not like everything without having to forfeit ones' "true fan" status.

Quoting this just because it cannot be repeated enough. So given that Metroplex came 1st, then Devastator, then Fort Max, and now Tryppy, is it plausible that Omega Surpeme is next? Or might it be Scorponok?

Yeah, feeling a little underwhelmed myself. I'll probably be more excited once it's shown in plastic and we see what it's capable of. If I had to guess I'd say the purple prongs on the feet are probably just to recreate the look of the original G1 figure. As others said, the inclusion of a walking feature on a Titan class figure would bump the price up a fair bit.
I received an email from BBTS saying that the first part of Planet X's Apocalypse is due within ten days, then this guy gets revealed less than twenty-four hours later.
Coincidence?

I have assumed that these would be the next two Titans. In my mind, Hasbro would not have even offered them as a feasibility in the last fan vote contest if they at least did not have some sort of design already in place. As for the order? 2018 and 2019...I figure it can go Either Way. I would initially think OS in 18' and Scorp in 19' (to follow the pattern that their opposites were released), also thinking/hoping OS would be scaled to be the same size as Devastator. But with Hasbro you never really know, just my wishful thinking.
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics
Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

It will probably be scorponok, that is what the latest rumours indicate:
