So just because that, she's a bad actress? Maybe she is clueless about the health problems or social manners toward others, but that doesn't or shouldn't impede her abilities. I wouldn't even call her an actress. This is her first feature role isn't it? Bay picked her out of one of his car commercials. as for the acting, I agree, we have 11 months before we can start legitimately talking ****, if we get a reason to.

Rosie huntington-Whiteley is her name, and her acting in those Agent Provocateur commercials proves that she at least has the ability.

If you've already jumped to that conclusion, then she will meet your expectations and there will be nothing we can say that will change it.

1a.) They're usually only allowed to smoke HERBAL cigarettes on a movie set. (So you have no idea that she's smoking a real cigarette.)

I too cannot stand smokers though...I mean I already had cancer once...no need to tempt fate again. Though I am friends with other people who do smoke, but I only hang with them when they're ash free.

For me, I'm kinda happy she is in TF3. I mean this 3rd film is looking to pan out to be a giant FX driven funhouse ride in 3D....why not add a victoria Secret Model....but not just any VS model, one with publicated nude photos AND a history of drug possession for a film based on childrens toys!!! How is that not a instant win!

This is like a joygasim for the deep recesses of my mind which house my morbid curiosity. It's like Piranha 3D, but for 2011. You know it may or very well "will" be bad, but you watch it because it may be sooooo bad, it's good.

Tress Gibson had been arrested on gun charges, Josh Duvall had had that sex scandal with a hooker, Shia allegedly arrested for DUI (i could be wrong on that, if I am i apologize). She's not the only one with a "past" working on that set.

Anyone remember the dude that was in that kids show "Blue in the big blue house"? That may not be the exact name. It was the one with the big blue dog. I remember reading that he had drug problems and attempted to comit suicide.
Point being its a bit harder than one might think to find a completely clean person in Hollywood these days. Everyone has a past. Its how you live from the point were you make the decision to get your life back on track.
Besides;.. Like you said its BASED on childrens toys. In the grand scheme of things there are plenty of things wrong with the movie that would raise an eyebrow with parents and the censors than a nude shot of the Shia's love interest.

This is probobly THE most sensible argument about the movies. I mean honestly, people just look it up to bash it because it was made by Bay.

People bashed Megan Fox when she was announced, and now those people are bashing Rosie last name too long to remember. So many people just want to bash something simply because it's not G1 enough.

Josh, was he single at the time? Cause, for all we know it could have been a Pretty Women moment? Regardless, this guys been in the game of acting long before I would imagine said scandal hit the TMZ chopping block. Also, no nudity involved, unless there was a sex tape...there always seems to be a sex tape. Also 2nded, did this scandal hit before or after he did the first film, cause Bay might have kept him on as a courtesy.

Anyways, none of this matter....why? Because I already said I'm rooting for Rosie, be it for all the wrong reasons yes, but still rooting for her!!!! Yay! Not only that, now that all the other actors have colorful history from Prostitution or DUI's, (the gun thing doesn't really bother me....)I'm rooting for this happily tainted family of fun even more....I am now watching TF3 with a whole new perspective...that of a horrible MTV reality show. And every time I see the actors, the thoughts of if they are hammered or high or trigger happy or if they have a dead hooker in the closet of their hotel room will be in my after thoughts. Well I don't really have anything to say about the actress, but I find it hilarious that everyone is so hell-bent out of shape over the hot eyecandy female actress (whether it be Megan or Rosie), and yet no one really bothers to discuss any of the other actors. With so many people complaining about human drama and how crappy the movies were because humans were main characters and not Transformers, why would this kind of thing be important? Whoever they'll pick, they'll pick, and they'll be in it.

The only concern I had when she was originally announced was whether she'd be replacing Mikaela as a character or not, because I really hate when consistency is lost in actor changes like that. Now that I know she's playing Carly, though, 's all good. And God Thundercracker, bashing smokers is sort of pointless. It doesn't affect you or me or anyone in any significant way, and no one in real life or on the internet cares whether or not you think it makes her look trashy. Besides, Bay and Shia could be puffing it up on set, for all we know.

Yeah, me too on the RiD thing. There are those of us out there that are fans, don't worry! But yeah, as for Megan...trust me, I'm not complaining about the hot babes, either. And I didn't think she was necessarily a bad actress for Mikaela, only that she might have played her part a little too close to home. What I mean by this is that the Mikaela character is probably pretty close to Megan's actual personality, with all its flaws and perceived stupidity/vapidity, as well. One of the things that made the romance from the first movie authentic for me was that I'm very familiar with the awkward nerd lusting over the unattainable blonde bombshell, and also with what usually happens when those two somehow come together - there's always a disconnect. Gorgeous women like her tend to focus their energy toward other places than the nerds and bookworms, and thus develop different areas of their personalities in the process. They're often perceived as vapid, unintelligent socialites, and is sort of how everyone seems to have perceived Mikaela and, in turn, Megan Fox herself in the first movie. And, to a certain extent, they're probably not too far off from the truth, if a bit skewed in their interpretation. But she's obviously got the social intelligence to handle herself in a heavy blockbuster film under all sorts of technical direction and whatnot, and her performance rings true enough for the type of character she's portraying (for me, anyway).

I'm just hoping Rosie doesn't follow the same archetype, because G1 Carly was a much, much different character. She's assertive, quick-thinking, and brave. I've always seen her as the potential Sarah Connor of the TF universe. Whether she ends up being portrayed that way or not, she still needs to represent a change in attraction from Mikaela, or it'll feel like something's missing.

I don't mind if Megan Fox is in the movie or not. I just want to bear her children.. Or wait..
