Yes, I have an intense disdain for Temple. Skull was a bit preposterous, but it was at least fun during the action. Temple was just a total borefest to me.

I might have asked this before, but I don't remember it, so... If you had a choice, would you rather want to know when you die, or how you die? Or do you want to keep it a total mystery?

Needs to be a total mystery. If i knew when I would feel invincible until then (and that is a bad thing) and if I knew how I would try to prevent it, unless it was old age

When. I do my best work with a deadline, and this would give me time to achieve peace of mind that everything is in order for those I leave behind.

Okay, that's bullshit. I've already got that set up with various insurance/retirement. Knowing when would just give me an excuse to do crazy stupid stuff that normal people are too level headed for.

Can we talk for a minute about just how awesome AC: Odyssey is? I never got that into the Assassin’s Creed Games aside from Black Flag, but damn Odyssey for me is the new standard.

So the game world is absolutely huge, as in 100 square kilometers huge. It’s pretty much literally the entirety of the ancient Aegean Sea.

The armor system is pretty sweet; you have helmet, torso, arm, waist, and leg slots, and everything goes together pretty well (not like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, where no matter what you wear you look stupid.)

The story takes place during the Peloponnesian War, and skews towards the historical side of things, but of course they added their own flair to certain parts for dramatic purposes. There are technically three separate but connected “storylines”: one where you find your mother, one where you find your father, and one where you find and kill a cult. And who doesn’t want to kill more cults eh?

The combat is wildly different from the first game (although very much like Origins, though I haven’t played that one yet.). Bit of a learning curve, but really fun once you get the hang of it.

The naval combat is much more difficult for me, but mid-game you’re able to pick up certain buffs that bring it to a more manageable curve.

I haven’t played any of the DLC yet, but Ubisoft is taking very good care of players with this game; there are two 3-part DLC chapters that take place post game, numerous free patches and additions, and the micro-transactions take the form of cosmetic packs and some completely non-essential resource/XP buffs if you do desire.

So I would say definitely pick this game up, but at the very least rent it for a few days and see for yourself.
