I know it doesn't excuse the figure's awfulness, but Titanium Megatron was based on a Dreamwave comic mini-series crossover story with G.I. Joe. Why they chose to do one figure in that line based on a not-terribly-popular comic book version is beyond me. It wouldn't be the only thing I'd question about the Titanium line, either.

I must disagree with most of your list. In order I present to you,
MICRO’S REBUTTAL!

1.Jazz
He’s definitely not a great legends toy. However, his goofy charm, along with the presence of worse legends toys (looking at you Movie 1 Megs), makes me feel he doesn’t deserve a spot on this list.

2.Optimus Prime
While I agree he is a major shellformer, I enjoy this mold. Good detail, imposing stature, excellent weapons, and decent posability.

3. Airachnid
While I agree with your decision to put her on the list, I feel you did not sufficiently explain WHY she sucks so much. A nitpick of presentation rather than choice.

4.Wideload
While his lack of any functional articulation and odd proportions are bad points, his charm and (in my personal opinion) better proportions then both his throttlebot counterparts and some other attempts (cough*Battlechargers*cough) cause me to believe he’s not as bad as you make him out to be.

5.Double Clutch
I actually like this mold. His car mode is great and he has fantastic sculpted detail. While many dislike this mold’s proportions, I find they accentuate his aesthetic and make him look like a bruiser of a ‘bot. His articulation, while nothing special, is serviceable. And while the problems with his combiner mode are serious issues, my complete lack of interest in the gimmick of the PCC range makes me apathetic to them.

Wideload no different from the Battlechargers.

Grandus is a must have to complete and has a working elevator especially if connected to Starconvoy but he does not transform at ALL. He hust lies on his belly. One of the worst /lazy design figs!

Phew, luckily I don't have any of the figures on this list. However I do own some honorable mentions, cybertron backstop, rotf demolishor, and legends Megatron. Backstop makes a nice chibi rhino and his cyberkey gimmick is alright, I guess, but that's all the good things I can really say about him. Even though Demolishor seems to be universally hated, I can't help but sorta like him. I think the design fits the movie decepticon aesthetic well (although I definitely understand why people don't like him). I don't remember much about Megs so I can't say much about him.

As for the list itself, I think it covers all the toy lines well and does a good job of picking out the bad figures from the various lines. I'm not sure about Animated Megatron though, I don't think it really deserves the title of worst tf ever.

There is a version of Starscream from the movies line that I find....OK. otherwise, they were all garbage.of all the product lines, most of the bots are of some merit, with only a few exceptions, however, the movie lines stand out as being the reverse. And the AOE line still collects dust on shelves taking up space that could be devoted to Combiner Wars or at least the new RID line.

My local WalMart has one combiner Wars Dragstrip, and the rest of the devoted space is still stuffed with AOE garbage that has an actual layer of dust collected on the blister. Next time I'm there I'll remember to snap a pic.

Out of my personal collection, I'm with the poster that mentioned movie Arcee and Chromia. Total waste material. Had they not been gifts to my son from a relative who did not know the difference on the shelf between a quality bot and a turd, they would never be in our possession. He has a drawer in his room that is absolutely vomiting movie figures as we can't bring ourselves to put them on the display shelves with our scores of killer ones. And not just because they are hideous, but because most of them are just plain unposeable.

Everything post-1984 is garbage. In fact, 1984 is garbage. Original Dialcloneses are where it's at!

I have to nominate this set:

Two awful Transformers for the price of, well, just a little cheaper than two Deluxes. The only real redeeming factor is Tailwhip fits really nicely with Smolder and Legends Barricade.

That Animated Megatron is the best toy on that list and to say G1 Wideload is worse than the other Throttlebots is just downright ridiculous.

The movie lines are filled with garbage.

Nobody is wrong, it's all about opinions, nothing here is factual. And the list isn't just my opinion but a round up of the community's collective opinion. There is even a link to the thread discussing that Megatron figure for everyone to check for themselves.

This is supposed to be fun, a chance for us to all let loose and say what we loathe. I look forward to reading people's own lists :) Feel free to tell us which top 10 movie figures you dislike the most.

All of them except Leader class Optimus Prime (2007) and Human Alliance Bumblebee suck equally.

Terradive, ROTF Leader Prime, Bludgeon, Hubcap, Skystalker, DOTM Jolt, leader Brawl, Battle Blades Bumblebee, Skyhammer, Evasion Mode Optimus, Hound, ROTF Lockdown, Deluxe Ironhide, Human Alliance Barricade. I could go on.

This toy is just a mess really and as bad as they get for the usually phenominal beast era.

I just can't buy statement. Beast WARS released some excellent figures, but almost exclusively starting with the Transmetals line. The pre-Transmetals lines were largely primitive (no pun intended) and had highly unconvincing alt modes. Beast MACHINES was crap start to finish. The colors were nonsensically bright and the figures were largely screen-inaccurate and completely out of scale. (Tiny Megatron and Obsidian, HUGE Nightscream, WTF?) And when they were screen-accurate it was even worse because those are some of the ugliest designs every foisted upon the Transformers brand. And that's all not mention the criminality of its portrayal of the characters (Rattrap as a useless coward, Cheetor as an EXTREME!!! Mountain Dew mascot, BA with no edge, Optimus as a dirty hippy, et al.)

Have you actually played with the figures?

Because there are many great molds from the first movie yes there are some bad ones but the line was decent plus you have the wrong toys to compare anyways ROTF's toyline was the best of all the movies lines it had some really great figures that are just as good if not better then a lot of the current Generations toys.

Don't let your blind hate for Bay make you think everything is awful.

Good list will, sometime I should get my thoughts in order to write my own worst list. I owned voyager animated megatron and I got rid and never looked back, especially now I have the leader megs, now that's a good figure to play with. Sadly I do own three toys on this list but what can you do?

Also don't know if anyone has listed dotm laserbeak in defence of good movie toys.

What a list. Although I have a special place in my heart for G1 Wideload (you monsters), I see one glaring omission that should have at least gotten an honorable mention, but you did at least get one of the hot titanium messes. What about Diaperwa.. I mean titanium Soundwave? Couldn't stand up very well. I had to tab slots with paper so parts wouldn't collapse into themselves. He's look like he's wearing a diaper, for crying out loud!

And that Laserbeak.. sigh. To think for a long time that had to be my go-to Soundwave until the WfC version came out.

I am gulity of owning 10,9,7,6 and 2. My #10, however, is not Jazz. i got the Straightaway Shootout set from Target so its Runamuck. Sideswipe does have a neat minicon feature, though. Also rans:I have TF2 Arcee and Elita 1, they both suck. Cybertron Thunderblast is pretty bad, too.

Wow...that was one god-awful recreation. I know the 'bots were drawn mostly in silhouette in the book, but even then you could tell they were taking their cues from G1, and the design art in the back of the TBP seems to back that up. To me the titanium figure looks like they started with Armada Megatron, cut off his antlers, slimmed him down, pulled the arms off some other robot and gave him a G1 comic style bucket helmet. The only other Titanium figure I had was War Within Optimus, and I always thought he was fairly well done. Didn't realize how bad the rest of the line was.

At least the legends class one had the full team, and each had individual bot mode, for legends figures, they accomplished quite a bit, I'll cut them slack for that :D

William-James88 rails about 10 random toys...

Yeah, No. I cant agree with half theis list. I will grant you Airachnid. That is a terrible figure hindered by its own plastic, made worse by the Cyber figure half the size and twice as palayblr.

And Armada Sideswipe I will give you, but NOT Nightbeat. That may be a diminuitce figure, but ge was sized for a gimmick which as gimmicks go was actually pretty cool, and does a passable robot mode for having nothing to work with. He's got the same face as Shockwave, so you can't trash on his face. And he makes a great Scooter for Ceosscut.

But you cant tell me HotShot is a bad figure 0r that he is worse than Airachnid. He 9s blocky, but that was the astgetic at the time. RID spoiled us. But he has knees, elbows, shoulders, yoy can fet to a neck if you dont fasten his head down, and he has three things that are Alternators worthy details, one of which even the alternators didnt even try:

1) an opening hood with engine detail
2)opening doors
3) a working hardtop convertible. And dont tell me I am the only one who played woth him like that.

Sure, the cabin leaves something to be desired, what with no discernable steering wheel or seat, but neither did XBrawn.

animated Megatron? I dobt see how you can call a vehicle mode lazy when its trying to emulate a folded up flying robot. I never interpreted it as anything other than Megs turns into his own jetpack. And even stying withon the list, it still hides the robot better than say BM Silverbolt.

The PC guy was frustrating in his arm balljoints popping off in transformation, but if I had a nickel for every figure that happened to, I could finally afford a Metroplex AND have enough left over for Fort Max. His alt mode is belivable, the trunk works, and while his bot mode is blocky, the weight is fairly central, he's not overly front or back heavy like some. And on top of that, all if his Pcc posts were hidden in vehicle mode.

I do love the legends figure, quite a fun transformation as well. The big one is a waste of plastic though, I worked in a toy shop a while ago and I had to mark him down to £30 to shift him. I thought that was an achievement :-P the owner wanted £100 for him...He didn't seem to understand my protests about that

Dear god, Airachnid. Literally the only good things about that rancid hunk of crap are the decent weapon sculpts, the reasonably on-point headsculpt and the cockpit details. Everything else is utter garbage. That would have been bad enough on some non-show character, but on a character as awesome as Airachnid it's a f*cking travesty.

I think there are a number of reasons to be frustrated by Combiner Wars, the barrage of retools and overall simplicity of the designs being probably the two largest for me.

But I'll say this about the line -- it's the first one in a LONG while that gives me real pleasure to just fiddle and "play" with the toys.

Do I love a good Masterpiece for complexity and display? Of course. And I regularly revisit some of my favorite Prime and CHUG toys.

But the Combiner Wars line is the first one in recent history that reminds me what it was like to be a kid -- and I'm talking 5-12 years old, here -- and just have fun.

The articulation is nice. The visual style is distinctive. And the whole combining concept is great. Always has been.

The designs are simple, sure, but that means they're accessible. I can transform a team from bot to alt to combined mode and back in ten minutes. That's less time than it takes me to transform some movie deluxe figures.

To me, the line is a terrific upgrade of the simple pleasure that was scramble city. And if that means I get saddled with a few too many iterations of the same mold, well, I'll live.

(And while I'm not excited by the potentially dropped ball that will be Victorion, I don't find anything about its release or that of the G2 homages to be exploitative. They're a playful wink and geared towards collectors. I appreciate the thought.)

Firstly, I will be the first to admit that I am that guy who was let down by Combiner Wars and it is true that its relative freshness is the reason for my quickly compiled list for most hated Transformers toys.
Secondly, I appreciate the non-personal attack towards my sentiments. I understand how some folks do take what are only indivual criticism personally, but I at least try to air my gripes with a reason (Well most of the time anyway). You counter with several valid points that echo my own appreciation for the line and also help me to realise other great reasons to reconsider its merit.

I never would have thought Defensor would end up being my favorite combiner and that we'd find such insane levels of articulation in any combiner. Incidentally, most of what I've seen so far with Titans War looks amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on those bots!
