Made an account just to report that my Star Wars/Transformers Chewbacca/Millenium Falcon is actually doing pretty well, especially considering it survived much of my childhood! I don't feel any weakness in the gold/brown parts and it's been transformed/posed around a few hundred times(and that's a pretty lowball estimate, considering that for a long time it was one of maybe five total TFs I owned).
One of the arms shattered on mine, but I really don't think it was the plastic type, it had a peg hole that always seemed too tight and one day it just couldna take it enna more, keptin.
Still fits together fine in ship mode tho, which is how I usually kept it anyway.

I'll need a replacement now
Yeas there's almost certainly a design flaw with WW of some type with that hinge. Mine lasted a decent time, but then one day when transforming it, part of that went through a place it shoudn't have and was suddenly hanging there by soft plastic/rubber/silicone and the hard plastic hinge was broken. Snapped. No more. A former hinge. Not going to bother replacing, I'm sure it's common enough that the likelihood is it would happen again and I don't care enough about the character to keep throwing money at it. If I handle it careful, I mean it's still okay in either mode, only really affects transformation

First: Transformers 2007 Movie Deluxe bumblebee. The automorph in his chest broken within a month. Now I need to manually reach up into his chest to help transform him. Very delicate process.
Huh... mine were fine, but the automorph on the old Camaro BB broke. And I had the Takara version with clear blue windows... I was pretty sad
Heh, common enough problem that when Hasbro put out a two pack of old and new Camero Bees, the stuck a warning sticker right on old Bee warning to only transform that part in the right order, and only by pushing the hood button.
How many other TF's had to be rereleased with warnings?
