That Bot wrote:I know they're fudging Metroplex's scale, and I don't mind. He'll tower over Legends and dominate Deluxes and Voyagers, even if they're not accurately scaled with each other. If they ignored scale with the MPs again to do a Fort Max, that'd probably be fine. But the whole point of remaking Optimus was to set a trend of MPs being in scale with one another in bot mode. Doing an out of scale Fort Max would sort of undermine that, even if it's the only realistic way they could do it.
That Bot wrote:Well, when I say Masterpiece-scaled, I mean a figure that is to scale with the current MP releases like Sideswipe is scaled to Optimus, not a figure that is the same size as them (which would actually be smaller than regular Fort Max). A Fort Max to scale with MP Sideswipe would be the size of a person, at a conservative estimate. The only way that's going to be $300 is if he's got minimal articulation and a bare-bones transformation.

How so? I don't see any such labels on the packaging that indicate such.SKYWARPED_128 wrote:Seeing as this is "supposed" to be FOC Metroplex toy...

Seeing one use those names like that just makes me smile, as I hate it when one refers to the Japanese versions of the characters as "Cerebros" and "Zarak" when referring to the smaller bots who turn into the heads of the extra giant Transtector bodies.KUMA-NIN Maximus wrote:So I will leave this with the announcement that I want an MP version of the Headmasters, even if it means only having Fortress transform into the head of Fortress Maximus and Scorponok transforming into the head of MegaZarak.

KUMA-NIN Maximus wrote:I have to disagree. Namely because if this was 20 years ago, you would be 100% correct. However, since the acquisition of Takara, TOMY has shownt hat they can hire designers that can create scaled down Transformers and have these pieces retain MP-level articulation. However, a Lambor-scaled MP would result in they making a MP version of Fortress... As it would allow them to add Cerebros and other features that appeared in Headmasters. KUMA-NIN Maximus wrote:How do you know that they are fudging? I mean, it is not like how certain Subway restaurants serve 12" subs on incorrectly baked 11" long pieces of bread! So all I can say is that if the size is fudged, it is too minuscule to matter.

It's alt mode would have to be the size of a small house, and bot mode would have to be about 100 feet tall. In the game, he holds Optimus in his hand and Optimus is smaller than one single joint of one of Metroplex's fingers.
If they made a Metroplex to scale with Cyberverse, again figuring it has to be big enough to crush OP with one finger, its bot mode would have to be twice the height of a human and its' alt mode would have to be the size of a car.
If you want other TF characters to be in scale with this new Metroplex, you'd have to make them yourself by painting their likenesses on grains of uncooked rice.

KUMA-NIN Maximus wrote:No matter. All I know is that they can eventually consider making a Masterpiece sized version of Fort Max. But until that day comes, we have them making this big boy.

First of all, nobody is proposing a Metroplex that is in scale with either MPs or anything else.

I would rather have him just as an awesome oversized transformer than a play set. I like the larger scale TF's like the deluxe and voyager. Scale aside. I dont really care about scale. Anyone agree?

Fall of Cybertron is old news now, time to move on. That's what Hasbro is saying at least. And consider Metroplex as an experiment, as a Transformer and Cyberverse playset in one. G1 Metroplex was originally designed for Combiners, did you know? Motormaster, Onslaught, Hot Spot and Silverbolt can connect to his City Mode, while the smaller members can attach to his robot mode shoulders and knees.

Also, why doesn't Hasbro just Mae a TRANSFORMER, and not a play set. That's what I am trying t get across. See what I mean?
Regarding this particular bit, this toy isn't meant to be FOC Metroplex. His bio identifies him more closely resembling G1 Metroplex's IDW self.1PrimeProductions wrote:Is anyone wondering why Metroplex doesn't more look like his FOC counterpar
