So I gues this confirms Jetfire. And in turn, I am now a believer of The Master List. Which means a Leader Megatron will be making his debut this weekend.

No way in hell Windblade is going to exist as a toy and not get retooled into Slipstream. There's just no way.

I don't necessarily like what I'm seeing of the toys themselves, but some of those designs are pretty cool.

Wow, the main line looks even worse than I had imagined. It makes me kinda sad, cos some of those designs look like they would make for decent toys if actually executed with care.

True dat, but it mostly makes me glad that Beast Wars came about in the wake of Jurassic Park's misconceptions. Better yet, this fellow will still look like someone other than Dinobot even if we get a toy where his arms aren't permanently akimbo.Noideaforaname wrote:Is that... a feathered raptor?! Oh yeah, and Splish or Splash and Grimlock are the only ones here that look kinda cool; everyone else looks like the result of the oil industry's practices making Hasbro s#!t bricks about the future of plastic prices.

Yeah, pretty sure all of these are the toys mentioned in the slideshow today. The Stomp and Chomp and Mega Bumblebee seem to fit the description and sounds, plus all the news we've had about them so far.

Well, umm... not what I expected. The package art for Drift is kickass. That's really the only thing positive I can confidently say about these guys.
Grimlock has the doofiest robot mode I have ever seen. Like, probably doofiest than Victory Road Caesar.
We were told that the collector's side of the Transformers shenanigans would be receiving more complex, accurate, appealing figures for Age of Extinction, right?
...Right?

It's one of those One-Step Transformers; you stand it up or slam it on the table or something, and it instantly converts.

Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

I love how Hasbro has AOE under the 4-10 age group yet those movies are not appropriate for 4-10 year olds.

Re: Toy Fair 2014 Coverage Thread
I think Grimlock and That Yellow Dino are the best of a bad bunch, but the art on Drift's packaging makes him look amazing. Green Car looked like he had a pretty kick ass bot mode in the Superbowl trailer, and I can see BulkHound's look working well with a proper toy. If these characters get proper Transformers figures they could be really cool.
I'm not sure I'd want a full-on movie line at the expense of Classics and IDW (and BW) styled guys in the Generations line though, and if these are what Hasbro intends for 4-10year olds, then I don't see us getting 2 "collector" focussed lines, so I'll stick with my Generations please.

to be fair, we've not seen the new one. It might not be such a cornucopia of carnage, sophomore humour and objectifying the female form.

Re: Toy Fair 2014 Coverage Thread
what a lackluster line so far
Grimlock is highly dissapointing
I think they say they want to release more complex aoe toys under the generations banner...
I hope they do... because rightniw, the only thing I find attracting is the faces on the packages
at long last, they seem to abandon the insectoid faces

Sweet, Jetfire confirmed. Faith in 'Master List' +10 points.
Windblade's looking pretty Prime-verse, but I'll probably still bite. I too would welcome a Slipstream remold of her.
EDIT: Oh, it's a mega-thread.
If Grimlock and 'Hound' don't get a Generations-style release, I'm skipping out on the AOE toys entirely and selling off my Bayverse. These look ridiculous.
Hmm, I really hope Jetfire doesn't end up as a Platinum release. But if he does, I'm preordering from BBTS because I cannot miss out on this guy.

this ROBOTS IN DISGUISE look to be deluxe sized...perhaps one of those fast action battlers subline, as they mention.
...there better be a new CYBERVERSE line.
i want me some new legion and commander class figures for my small transformers collection...judging from this, though no pics
http://www.tfw2005.com/resources/aoe-cyberverse-588/
leaves me to believe there will be a cyberverse line.
i am hopeful that there will be a cyberverse line.but i hope to GOD RID will not be cyberverse..
so common hasbro! show me my cyberverse or you'll get no money from me!

Honestly? These don't look that bad, I can see these being fun for kids and making great desk toys for adults. Simple and if they're like the Beast Hunter figures the plastic will be solid with some heft.
