Rated X wrote:I see you guys got good points about the Bat mode. although in my eyes there are really 2 "movie" lines. You have characters that are actually in the movie and you have new characters, homages, and repaints that are added to keep the movie line going for profit. This guy probally will never see the big screen. As far as the asian lettering, it may be "Cybertronian" but by the shapes and styles you can see it is roughly based on asian text most likely Chinese because Japanese has more straight lines and boxes in its lettering. But I feel the whole point of transforming into an earth vechicle is to camoflauge. That is why many of the first movie line vechicles didnt even have Autobot or Decepticon symbols. It just looks more real. For 25 years we have never really seen excessive Cybertronian writing in any storyline...why all of a sudden does every character need tattoos now ??? Was this Michael Bay's idea or Hasbro's ??? Throwing it on Starscream in the movie to give him a "rebel" look was kind of cool but every character need not have them all over their body...
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one hoping a Bugly will come out so The Fallen can have all three of his disciples. The moment these figures were announced to the general public (Mindwipe and Bludgeon) I was calling for a Bugly to complete the "Chaos Trinity"Desslok wrote:Let's see... We've got the Fallen, and going back to War Within Dark Ages #1, the three Decepticons which freed him in that storyline were Bludgeon, Mindwipe, and Bugly. We've got three of the four so far, so should we be expecting a pretender in classics 3.0? I doubt it, but I can hope...

That's because they're not restricted to a pre-designed robot mode with an absolute alt mode, and very little real way to get from one to the other without ten thousand moving parts. They can just create something "in the style of", with lots more freedom of design.
SKYWARPED_128 wrote:A very good point. I'm in awe of those designers who actually managed to design a movie-accurate ROTF Prime, even if it took them four years. Given the time constraints and the overall difficulty of designing Bayverse toys, the fact that they were able to come up with even decently accurate figures is a wonder.
