I care. <3
As do I, and it's an awesome vehicle mode.
I'll hop on that wagon as well.
Do you think Blurr's rifle will work with Perceptor since he has the open hands?

It's possible the above was just a figure that had not yet been chromed - but maybe this pic is the Hasbro version, and the one at the start of this thread is the Takara United version.

Skyfire has two. Hound and Sunstreaker have the option.
Also Prowl/Smokescreen/Silverstreak.

Have hope yet young grasshopper. Remember, a few (limited sadly) have enough curl in their fingers that a 5mm peg will fit and stay upright. And looking at the pic of him holding the missile into his shoulder, there might be enough in the lower part of his hand.
Or not...

Must be a Hasbro in-joke. Those usually concern designers' birthdays.

The pics from the 1st post show him with a rubsign on his hood, so it must be a Hasbro.

Takara has used rubsigns as well back in the day. They're not region specific.

Though that's true, they're not using rubsigns for their United figures. On the other hand, Hasbro is using them in their Reveal the Shield line, very likely meaning that this is indeed Hasbro's version of the toy.
Not only that, but we have seen (or at least prerelease pics of) Perceptor from the United line. These pics can be seen at this link. As can be seen it is lacking the chrome and the insignia on the hood.

Despite that, I really like this incarnation of Perceptor. I had the original back in the day, and this (more practical) update has me very excited.
Of course, it would be a big kick if the transformation and articulation allowed for a fan-mode microscope!

Bot mode on the other hand is great but i think i'm gonna pass on him.
That's my first impression anyways. He's a figure i think should have stayed away from a vehicle for an alt mode. I would prefer him to remain a microscope.
Call me old fashioned and a stubborn G1'er. You can tell me transformer alt modes should evolve and blah blah blah but he should be a MICROSCOPE and there's nothing wrong with him being a microscope no matter how newschool you are and think it's ridiculous.

I think I'll be giving him Blurr's sniper rifle. Blurr couldn't sit still long enough to be useful as a sniper anyway
That's the first thing I thought when I saw this figure. Blurr's sniper rifle would be perfect to make this an even more IDW-inspired Perceptor. I hope the gun fits in his hand, though. They look kinda weird.
