And Classics Megatron did have an orange cap, two to be exact. One for the chamber and one for the scope.

You know what'd be sweet? If they came out with a Generations version of Megs with a slick G1 robot. It'll never happen for a multitude of reasons. Not least among them that aside from homage and the character's own appeal, becoming a gun makes all kinds of no sense.

If they can do a Megatron as a legend they can do THIS as a deluxe or voyager. DO IT.

I don't think they can because it would resemble a real firearm too much. That's why Classic Megatron had to be a Nerf Gun.

i almost creamed myself expecting a new megs, wfc starscream and a trailcutter figure...then i saw legends class:(

I have no doubt Takara will fix the orange cap when they get around to releasing it. Probably worth a little wait...

Really hasbro an orange cap on a legends toy? Whats next are you going to paint all the small guns that come with the figures orange too? Guess ill have to break out the silver paint again. Also kinda upset that Trail Breaker is called trailcutter, couldnt they just slap autobot in front of the name to get the copyright? These little problems wont stop me from getting these since they all look awesome but still hasbro does something awesome and still manages to screw something up.

That orange cap is ridiculous. What's next, are they going to orange cap G.I. Joe guns?

I own those two Classic Primes, and no. The legend is NOT better than the deluxe and voyager. It's a dinky little toy with less articulation and no weapons.

Dunno what you're all bitching about with the orange cap.

At least you'll be able to display him without requiring a permit and to ensure he's kept in a lockable gun cabinet.

well the orange cap is to keep people from holding up a store with an inch long gun that looks very real

Megs and Screamer look great.
And Megatron has the orange cap after all! I knew that wouldn't go away since the gun was in its original colors, because then it looks like a real gun you could shoot people with. Even though it's, like, a few inches long.
But I really don't mind the cap. I buy the toy for what it is. Not because it has an orange cap that "ruins the whole toy".

Given that the American Deringer is only three inches long, that's probably why they put a cap on.

Plus in the heat of things, you suddenly find yourself with a gun pointed at you, are you REALLY going to take the time to look at it and go "oh hey, that's not a real gun!"

But yeah, orange cap, big whoop, at least you can own it.

And yeah, at first if someone pointed a fake gun at me, yeah I'd panic. But, if he held me up for at least five seconds with the thing, yeah I would see the orange cap and just call the police on him.
And yeah, it's a stupid cap people. I'm so sick of hearing how much the cap "takes away" from the Megs toys. I mean, seriously, do you really want toys out there that look almost exactly like real-life firearms? If we did, then people could get away with all kinds of crap just by pointing a toy at someone.

Other than the philosophical debate about this being a STUPID requirement, I don't really care about the orange tip. I own paint.

My problem is it's a dumb law. If someone seriously wanted to make a toy gun look real they could easily paint it. And I'd much rather have someone point a toy gun at me than an actual gun. It's too easy to get around and that makes it ineffective.

Might have to take you up on that offer. Be interesting to see if he is released here given the current laws against poor ol Megatron.
