Takara Tomy has just released the Disney Label series Buzz Lightyear yesterday. Japanese Transformers collector & blogger Alfes 2010 has posted a gallery of the main hero from the "Toy Story".

Wow, from the front, the Buzz mode looks just like the regular toy version, nice job!

What's most impressive about this toy is unfortunately the reason I won't be getting it: It looks EXACTLY like a regular Buzz Lightyear toy. That's really cool, but because there's no TF connection, it won't be joining my collection.

Just got this today. And I have one MAJOR complaint about this toy and that is the head gimmick. Though its really cool it would not stay at the head area when in buzz lightyear mode due to a very powerful spring in the head gimmick area. No idea why they put such a strong spring over there but the head would not stay in place if not for the helmet that is holding it in.

If it were to click to secure it would be much better.. I had the head fly out on me before... guess that's how Buzz likes it:
