Because the Prime, Megatron, and the kids are in one multi-pack. I doubt this will be the only Prime and Megatron we will be getting.

Yeah I was. Every time Transformers changes, some one is always starting some sect of TF fans who want to boycott every essence of the series. And surprisingly, no one has done that for Prime.

Sad that these figures can't reach the size limit of Leader. At least make Prime, Megatron, and Starscream Voyagers so that they can be more in scale. Otherwise, I'm totally stoked about these guys, especially Prime and Megs. I actually have a cute diorama of all the Primes vs. all the Megs, and these guys would make a welcome addition to it.

Funny thing is I thought these were DOTM figures, since Prime looks sorta kinda like the Ultimate Optimus we seen earlier without his armor. Doesn't he look kinda like him? :???:

Anyway, here's my assessment of the League of Human Friends;

Jack- spot on

Miko- creepy-looking and stalker-ish

Raf- gangsta

Definately getting the deluxe class vibe from these guys. Gotta prefer Optimus and Megatron in at least voyager class. Megatron looks very good overall, minus the head 'peeking' out of vehicle mode. Optimus' truck mode looks good, but his 'bot mode is extremely weak compared to the rest of the line. This may be narrow-minded of me to say, but I don't see the point of any Transformers line that doesn't field a strong Optimus or Megatron.

With regards to the aesthetics of Transformers: Prime, I really like it. I like the majority of Bay-movie Transformers, but found the designs too complicated to adequately replicate as figures. I see Transformers: Prime as making them simpler.

That's an excellent point. I enjoy the movie aesthetic when I see the bots in the films but the toys don't excite me. Transformers: Prime does, despite the obvious movie connection, and I think it's because they're simplified and more cartooney in a G1/Animated sense.

Optimus is my favorite Transformer but I like his classic G1 style. I don't like his appearance in the Bay movies or the Prime show. Megatron, on the other hand, is cool and scary in Prime and aside from his peeking head he looks pretty mean.

These okay, but I honestly think all the DOTM stuff has one up on these Prime figures. Optimus looks good, but Megatron...eh...I'll buy him.
I do enjoy the movie aesthetic influence on the series, though.

completely disagree. Alright, the only ones I really like is Megatron and Arcee, but atleast they look like parts of a robot, rather than ... just a mess.
