Should be getting mine today. Not keen on the red legs, but if the chrome matches and it fits into the trailer I'm swapping it out with the robot of the Takara version I already have.

I don't like the Hasbro mp rodimus fire flame chest/hood decal. the takara fire/flame for MP Rodimus just looks more rodimus prime & less sloppy.

I'm also not a fan of the front lower robot legs hotrod decals. as this ruins the looks of pretending it's rodimus prime in growing robot mode.

Lastly I don't like the light blue bigger eyes for both hotrod/rodimus inner faces.

Personally while the Takara version is tripple the price. for a old school perfectionist like myself I prefer the 1st version Takara MP Rodimus Prime colors as it looks more 1986 movie/season 3 Rodimus prime show/movie colored accurate.

I've already got 2 Takara MP Rodimus Prime toys,1st versions. I'll probably sell them,take a bit of a loss in price. then get the Takara MP Rodimus 2.0 fixed versions.

I suspose since the Hasbro version is only $60. I'll pick up one. but no way would I consider it the superior colored version. as it doesn't really look cartoon/movie accurate. for that matter,it's not even 1986 toy accurate cuz the robot faces aren't pearl white their dull grey on the HASBRO mp rodimus versions.

I'm kinda wondering if one can swap out the front lower leg decals. with the lower legs back shins that have no decals on them.

I wonder if the Takara MP Rodimus 2.0 Trailer will have a bigger gaps section. so the yellow wing spoilers don't scratch up. or if the yellow spiler wings will be thinner/stream lined a bit,so they don't scratch up in the rodimus prime trailer gaps.

For those seibertron.com members who bought the Hasbro MP Rodimus toy directly from the SDCC convention center. I'm curious,how much did you pay for it? was the SDCC Convention charging $59.99 like the TRU.com web site is/was.

also at the SDCC convention do they charge sales tax or no sales tax.
if not that's a savings of $4 dollars right their.

i already posted about this, but it was $60 at the Entertainment Earth booth, no tax. Most other vendors (Hasbro, Mattel, shout factory) did charge, so I'd like EE to stay as they are. Hope no Irs are reading this

thanks for the SDCC Rodimus info.

right their that's a bargin of a life time. as SDCC Customers saved $4+ in taxes on MP Rodimus.

but you still have to pay for gas, lodging, food and parking which is enough in my book. Fortunately for me I shared resources with friends & locals. Tax wouldve been 5.50 +

You clearly didn't go just for hasbro MP Rodimus.

Those who attended the SDCC 2011 Convention. got to see the live panels from almost every toy company in america. got to see test shots/proto types. got to ask questions at the live panels. got to see official people from the toy companies,actors,voice actors,comic artist & so forth.

I figured placing this 20% TRU store coupon made sense in this thread. as various TF fans are waiting for Hasbro MP Rodimus to arrive in TRU stores.

Sadly the 20% off TRU store coupon expires on august 14,2011.

apparently the facebook TRU site allows users to print up the coupon twice & that's it.

Mine came in yesterday and considering this is actually Hot Rod/Rodimus and not Rodimus Prime IMHO, he looks great! I don't plan on opening it and rightly so. The packaging which is greatly unique versus the common box you get from Takara MP TFs. Indeed a gem worth getting...'nuff said! :VEHI:

I suspose that's the great thing about Hasbro's MP Boxes. is their in robot mode & in a see thru high grade collectors display box.

too bad this coupon wasn't for canadian based TRU stores too. because sighthings rumors have surfaced that MP Rodimus is available at several TRU canadian stores.

I don't think TRU american stores are waiting for that 20% coupon to expire before they stock mp rodimus on usa store shelves. Because that coupon can get used for anything not just transformers.

Sometimes with stores in America,they put out newer stuff. when they do re-sets for the next season or holiday or event or whatever.

I got impatient and got one off of Ebay. My location hasn't gotten them in yet, but like User897's predicament, they'll be bought up by scalpers. I will keep my eyes open, just in case though. If I see one, I'll grab it and we can make some arrangements..........
