Hopefully your local TRU will restock? Here in Canada all our local ones only got 4 at first, but then they restocked like 30 each...of course now they're all sold out again though.

That sucks user897. I know Ebay is the sh**, but I have never purchased anything on Ebay just for the fear of the experience you are having with this purchase.

Hopefully Ebay will make it right, and soon. I wish I could help you out, but this damn figure is hard to find at retail, as we all are finding out.

Prices on line keep going up based on the demand.

Indeed. Thanks for the kind words. I'll get my money back, but eBay takes it's time to do so. I still have at least 3 days before it's back in my account, and then I have to find one that will not be more expensive. Yeah, right. Sometimes HasBLO really pisses me off.

"Spotted at retail"? Yeah, right. You American have all the good stuff. I'm right in Québec and for some various reasons, TrU will NEVER have MP Rodimus over here. Also, no HA Leadfoot. No Scan series. No Spacecase. No Wheeljack, Warpath or Windcharger. No DotM Soundwave, Que, or Laserbeak. You americans have all the good stuff in advance, or you are the only ones to get it. The rest of us must buy them online at rape prices. :-x

So how's the quality of the US version? Good? I recall people being disappointed with the Japanese release.

I don't own both, but from what I've heard...

The plastic's the same, the leg panels can pop off and snap back on without breaking since the pin has been modified.

The backpack and chest still don't lock into place and the transformation is still as intricate. The colors, stickers and Targetmaster are the only differences.

i want this toy so bad i checked Phoenix, Az, and Las Vegas, NV and nada! which leads me to checking online... but i can't justify paying $82 bucks for a toy that has die cast on the feet and plastic... any suggestions? should i pay $82 bucks or wait for the amazon exclusive unicron? and pass on roddy? was also thinking about getting the kre-o transformers optimus prime and starscream instead for $77 on amazon lol

If you are a big Roddy fan and $82 includes shipping, then I say get him. If you have $150-$200 to spare on ebay, then have at it with Unicron. On Amazon right now Uni is $250-$300. Grab Unicron while you can.

I am not sure what happened with distribution before, but I have now seen as many as 12 at a time at all of the TRU's in the northern Virginia metro area.

I will never EVER see it in stores in a Québec store. So I gave up and bought is for 90$ shipped off Ebay.

Finally I was able to transform him. I had to push in a little more the ankle joint to make some space to snap the arm onto the peg. When I transform him back to robot. It got a stress mark inside on the same roof panel. This was the second time it has happened on the same spot. Had to use the blow dryer on high setting and it removed the stress mark again.
