Found 1 at my Toys R Us. Used my 20% off coupon too. I didn't even expect it to be there, I was going to use my coupon on Kre-o Sentinel Prime. Good thing that happened because the Kre-o's are all 20% off this week.

Found and bought the only 1 in Erie, PA. today (Sunday). I called them on Friday and they had no idea what I was talking about, either he came in (or made it to the floor) over the weekend or the person I talked to didn't see him on the shelf.

And this is the problem. Its not the scalpers fault and its not Hasbro's fault. This is the collectors fault. Because collectors just can't say no. They can't say thats too much to pay. And they can't say I'm not buying from scalpers. They just keep on doing it and then complaining about it as if the problem will just go away on its own.

Collectors just can't suck it up and deal with the fact that they might not get something that they want. Every time a collector buys something from a scalper, the scalpers win and the collectors take a step backwards.

Its the same thing with 3rd parties, its the same thing with KOs, and its the same thing about scalpers. As soon as the collectors can say, I'm just not buying it from them and I'm not buying it for that price, the scalpers will start taking losses. And when they start taking losses, they will stop scalping.

Collectors as a whole mass group aren't very smart. They tell themselves they need these things. And then they blame the wrong people when they overpay. Its time to take a look in the mirror. Collectors are the only ones who can fix the problem of scalpers and over-inflated prices. But its takes collectors who can actually stand up and say I'm not paying that much. I'm not buying from you. I guess I just won't have one and I'll have to deal with it. When this happens, progress will be made.

FWIW, I called a local TRU in Cincinnati and asked about Rodimus. They told me it would be on Saturday's truck. I ended up going to a different store in the area the next day and they had 4 of them.

Well, I don't buy any of the stuff mentioned. I bought the RTS figures from online retailers but skipped all the insanely priced stuff like Windcharger and United R and F. I don't buy any KO 3rd party stuff BECAUSE of the price. In fact I do without things quite a bit because of the price.

And that also applies to in store items which are overpriced.

So where does this actually help someone who doesn't buy everything who actually just wants to get a MP Rodimus Prime?

Like Mick Jagger said, "You can't always get what you want." The problem isn't going to go away tomorrow. It took years to create the problem, it'll take years for it to go away. Those people can continue to patrol TRU or respectable online retailers until they get lucky. They should be prepared to not have one. Or the can continue to contribute to the problem. These are the only choices.

can someone kindly post the UPC code on the bottom of the Package so I can go to my local TRU and see if they will be getting any? THANKS!

If MP Grimlock is anything to go by, the quality on this will be shite.

I bought mine online. Done.

People are finding them in the stores.

Those that aren't should wait or politely ask someone to pick them up one.

It's pretty easy. Too much drama over this.

I bought one from TRU.. Was not really happy with it and sold it to a fellow Louisiana collector..

Again, what the hell is anyone worried about?

Until very recently people were still finding MP Grimlocks in TRU stores.

Rodimus is following the same pattern as Grimlock as well.

SDDC overstock sold out on HTS, first small shipments sold out at TRU online and stores.

Listing disappeared, etc,etc,etc......

All this happened with Grimlock too and eventually they ended up sitting around and more even appeared near Christmas time before slowly fading away.

So don't be dumb and overpay for something u will eventually see in the store(unless u arent near a TRU obviously)

People's memories can't be that short can they?

Today is the day my local TRU gets theirs. I'm only up in arms because they said they only have 3 and I want to use the 20% off coupon. They open at 10. I'm off work at 3. Prolly will miss them all.

Can anyone who bought MP Roddy tell me how his quality is compared to MP Grimlock or another MP figure? Trying to make a decision to buy or pass on this guy.

I ended up getting lucky. I got to run an errand and went by the store. No place on the shelves were made and didn't see any. I was gonna leave and decided to ask. They were keeping them behind the counter because of so few in thier hands. I had an accomplished feeling when the lady said "Tom, all Masterpiece Rodimus' are gone". With the 20% coupon it was $51 and change.

His face plastic looks kinda cheap (think raw gray instead of painted) but I haven't opened him yet. It's a compact package too. No waste.

I used the 20% off coupon as well and it came to $57.34. I wonder why it's not the same price across all TRU stores, isn't it all listed in the same system? or are the managers allow to set prices for individual stores?

I noticed the deluxe price was down to 11.99 and not 13.99. Do you happen to know what price yours were at?

This TRU is on Long Island NY, I think the movie deluxe are at $11.99 but the Universe and Animated deluxe are listed at $13.99.

Price on mine was 59.99 - 12.00 from coupon plus 3 tax.

I also notice his matrix is much larger than Ive seen in reviews. I guess they used primes. It opens like his does. This may already have been mentioned but I never read about it.

Well, Times Square is always about 25% more expensive than anywhere else. I think most of New York is a bit higher than the average, so there is probably some latitude from store to store.

He actually comes with two. The large one is indeed the Optimus Prime version, and the smaller one is the one that fits within Rodimus Prime.

Got mine in today. Love the way Offshoot turned out. Does anyone know exactly where to place the arm stickers? Pics would help.Thanks....
