YAY! Mine just came in today too! Whooo Doggies, Reprolables needs to get hoppin'. He needs:

The weird, squiggly line sticker for the chest
Decepticon badge (obviously)
Eyebrows
Detailing stuff.

He's radical.

But:

Can someone tell me why it says "Wash your hands after playing with toy" on the back of the box in French? Am I going to get some kind of Bird Flu touching him? sorta kidding, but what the F? Why do I have to wash my hands?

I'm only kind of worried that the paint or metal may contain trace amounts of lead.

Of course! But yeah, gets me a little nervous. I'm sure its fine though, besides, I like to live.....dangerously.

He doesn't have much paint. I'm not concerned.

hehe unless the metal is lead.

I don't recall what kind, but there is a certain type of petrolium based plastic that is quite toxic, though I believe the toxicity comes mostly from the fumes (shower curtains etc. are often made from it and you're supposed to let them air out after taking them out of the packaging).

Maybe the toy uses a similar plastic.

Anyway, I still haven't gotten mine in yet. Hopefully I will soon as I'm really looking forward to it .

Hey I just wanted to say I recieved my Hegemon Megatron and for all those wondering if he is on scale with any Prime I found that he is on scale with the G2 Laser Convoy /Optimus Prime as the Classics Prime seems a little small scale wise. Here are a couple of pictures. So please have a look and see how they measure up. oh and for good measure I have added a Decepticon insignia on Hegemons/Megatron's chest

Um......you mean KO, over-sized G2 Laser OP? Since when is Laser Prime bigger than Classics Prime? Lol. Megatron Dwarfs the normal G2 Prime.

Since 1995.
He's talking about the original G2 Lazer Prime from when G2 was a thing. And that thing is larger than Classics Prime.

Oooooh, ok. Must have missed that bit in history. Never saw Laser Prime during G2, just the re-issued G1 with talking sounds or whatever.

He does look all kinds of awesome, that's for sure. I'm a little cheesed off that I missed this when I was a kid, seems I had a lot of the Autobots. Totally have a new appreciation for RTS Laser Prime now too.

I saw one in a store today, way up high on a shelf. It was a Korean box RiD Scourge I think. I'm not sure if I should get it. I asked the guy about a price on a Korean boxed Armada Tidal Wave and he wanted 160,000won ($137). I snorted in his face and walked out. God knows how much he will want for Scourge.

Thankyou MKall for knowing what I was talking about and I agree Laser Prime aka Battle Convoy in Japan is one of the best Primes ever to come out. ViperEye82 I agree you should attempt to try to find either Hasbros G2 Laser Prime/Takaras Battle Convoy or one of the repaints either Rid Scourge/Car robots Black Convoy or E hobbys Ultra Magnus I actually own 4 out of the Five. The only one I dont have is Car Robots Black Convoy In the First picture u have Left to right:Battle Convoy,Laser Optimus Prime,Hegemon Megatron,Rid Scourge and finally Ehobby Ultra Magnus. In the second Picture we have Top RID Scourge and bottom E hobby ULtra Magnus Vehicle modes. in the third picture we have top Hasbros G2 Laser Optimus Prime and bottom Takaras Battle Convoy. in the final picture we are showing how there Tanker trailer converts into a heavily armed weopons platform Please enjoy the photos and you dont own any of them I highly recommend you attempt to obtain at least one of them if not allof them and remember that they all fit perfectly in scale with Hegemon/Megatron

Nice pictures! Magnus looks awesome, I found a cheap-ish G2LOP on Ebay, in box, but the box is a big mangled. Debating whether I should grab it or not. I really don't have a lot of room these days.

So what are your overall thoughts on Hegemon?

God I love him.

I emailed Reprolables to see if they had any plans to create a set, seems they could easily produce his eyebrows, the chest squiggle and various detailsing. They stated they would pass it on to the developers and keep me posted.

I have mine standing with Laserbeak perched on his forearm. My first decepticon shelf sits sort of in front of a window, so most of the day, his eyes blaze bright red.

I give Toy World an A+ on this one, considering its their first release. I have a few issues with the hip covers popping off, but that's really it. Everything else transforms solid and snug with very little seams showing.

Not to worry it happens to the best of us so no offence taken glad you like the pics. As far as G2LOP on ebay you found I say go for it you know you want to. anyways your choice but I promise you wont regret picking one up. sincerly megatronpro

Hang your head in shame. There were a grand total of 4 Primes released during G2, the G1 with black trailer and soundbox, the Combat Hero with bellows launcher (released with different stickers as Sureshot in Europe), Laser with practically all of the G2 gimmicks (no colour change or rotors) and Gobot (the first releases of the moulds that later became the Car Robots/Robots in Disguise Spychangers). The Laser mould is awesome. I'd recommend the Takara Battle Convoy over the original 90s release for Prime, mainly for the Matrix chest stickers that replace having his name emblazoned on his chest on the Hasbro version, the Takara Black Convoy over the Sonokong version or Hasbro's Scourge release for greatest show accuracy and no 'safety parts' (Scourge and Sonokong BC have blunted points on the swowds and no G2 Cybertron symbol on the discs, many thanks to Jelze for having recently pointed this out about the Sonokong version) and the ehobby release for Magnus because he's the only option there.

Yep, and with such a strong initial showing it makes me very excited about their future products. These guys need to do Galvatron and Shockwave. I'm also impressed with how they didn't jack us around with a bunch of teasers and managed to release this guy right on schedule.

quick question for anyone who owns this:

are the hands 5mm peg holes?

I'm not keen on the sword, but do like the pickaxe part for a custom maybe, and would like to maybe swap out the sword on this guy with either the AM Dark Matter Calibur or maybe the one from Battle Tanker.
