Will try to get to Kmart Chatswood in the next day or so during lunch (if it is in the Westfields Ill be fine) and I may even try Blacktown (HAHAHAA!) Because most of teh figures are only worth getting when on sale anyway.
Has anyone found these figures in the "special seasonal" section of Kmart, near the entry point of the store? Both Stanhope Gardens and Mt Druitt Kmarts had very few Protoforms (and classics) in the toy section, but then had about 2 dozen of each protoform and a whole stack of Classics in the Seasonal section.

That's not surprising, if the street date hadn't been moved up to co-incide with the final trailer, the figures would only be a fortnight or so away from being released. Spiderman figures were out about a month before the movie, and the shelves just kept getting more chocked full of Spidey Stuff.
Shrek is out on June 7th (thought they would have waited 2 weeks for the school holidays) and their merch has been slowly building for the past fortnight or so.
Pirates is about the only line that hasnt been so crazy merchandising wise, PotC2 had tonnes of stuff, but I have not seen anywhere near as much stock for Pirates 3.
Once the Kmart 20% off action figures ends, expect to see Transformers stuff everywhere!

How much are the plushies and which section were they in? The soft toys section or with the TF's?

I made the mistake of asking a staff member if they had any movie stock out the back, waiting to be put out... the guy kinda glazed over for about 20 seconds, then said "of Transformers stuff...nup. Meant to, but we dont." then trudged off.
Anyone else find that odd?

There was one box of them with the transformers in the aisle, and two more boxes on an endcap along with voyagers and voice changer helmets.
They were $15.95 I think. They aren't 20% off though because they aren't action figures.

Australian street date for movie toys (except protoforms) is apparently still in effect.

Everything indeed
Sarcasm, my dear?
Still haven't got the pics (partner has the camera), but here's the list.
Real Gear:
- Longview (binoculars)
- Power Up VT6 (game)
- Speed Dial 800 (phone)
- Spy Shot 6 (camera)
Deluxe:
- Barricade
- Bumblebee
- Brawl
- Jazz
- Scorponok
- Wreckage
Voyager:
- Blackout
- Ratchet
Leader:
- Optimus Prime
Plushies:
- Slumblebee
- Softimus Prime
Voice Changer Helmet
The receipt is almost the length of my arm
Sadly no Starscream, Ironhide or Bonecrusher. Must be in the next wave
Really impressed with all the figures, especially Scorponok. Not so much for his robot mode (robot mode, what freaking robot mode!?) moreso for his gimmick, especially when you link him Blackout. Awesome gimmick. Seriously, need some scaled human figures to be running away screaming. Wreckage is my favourite, followed oh so close by Blackout, but seriously, all these figures rule. I am so greatly impressed what Hasbro has done.
I've put them into a battle scene similar to my previous Classics one. When I get the camera, I'll post pics.
Like I said, decided against FAB and Cyber Slammers. I really see no point to them but for younger audiences.
Voice Changer helmet is hilarious. I love how they incorporated the G1 transformation sound. Sad they didn't use Cullen. Sounds more like the guy from RID. Glad it wasn't like DVD Edition 20th Anniversary Prime though. That voice was horrendous.
And the plushies. They're just cool. So very, very cool.

Well I work at a Canberra Target store, and we've got a crapload of transformer movie toys...we only had the protoforms in last week, but we've had the rest of the range on shelf all this week.
We even have the Optimus Prime Helmet.
So yeah, apparently we broke the street date.
