My suspicion is that the 3d printing would have had trouble with the tight tolerances required for the pegs on the combining cane. Some of those pegs looked mighty small.

Better for him to put out something relevant while the figure is on shelves than wait to work out the bugs and miss the boat entirely.

I'm not getting it, though, as I'm not a big enough fan of IDW Bee to shell out the bucks. If I had an IDW shelf, I might spring for it to complete the look.
