Tramp wrote:That is definately not enough clearance. The trailer should have enough clearance to allow the front-most car to fit backwards on the front raised portion and clear the roof with room to spare. As it stands now, you barely have enough room for the hood to clear and there is barely any headroom on the lower portion of the deck. It would be better if the struts were lengthend by about a 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. Basically, the top pf the back strut attached to the legs should run along the mid line of the length of the arm.

the first version had the same aspect... something that i never had a problem with and i dont want to compromise the robot more... the reason why it,s a bit more squeezed is the matrix chamber.... that,s compromising ... if i favor the trailer then it,s the robot mode that will suffer ... if i favor the robot mode then the trailer will suffer... that,s always the dilemma that we face ... this is a choice and also at this point anyway if i dont put more lenght to the trailer then it will become a 3 vehicule trailer instead of four.... comprimise.... but i,m happy with the results

well the difference between yours and mine is that i have to weight the look with guidelines concerning g1 and it,s look... yours is well, free from most of theses guidelines since yours is a classic... so there is a huge difference with doing something with strict guidelines and something that has allot of liberty to design and that rules can easy be broken since there are no rules for classics !!

At the end of the day who cares if it is a tight fit for the alts?

Its such a cool project that I nor a lot of people would be able to produce and being an owner of a g1 um can hold in high regard since it actually has a point of articulation!

Anyways they're soddin high performance cars why aren't they driving themselves at 70+ down the motorways, rather than doin 50 on the back of um on the inside lane stuck behind a caravan???

And as much as I like your clasics one tramp, I can't help being reminded of dawn french when looking at it! Lol!

Nicely done - but I thought that was Springer's trick? ;)
How does that work? It looks kinda like it flips round like, say, Metroplex's shoulder cannon. Izzat right?

OK now i have a quesion for you guys !!! i will do about the same weapon/storage system on the other arm .... so this is where you guys come in..... would you rather have a twin cannon come out of it or a sword storage for hand to hand combat ? you choose !!!!

I'd go with the gun. Magnus has never struck me as the swordsman type.

Same here. Magnus can do hand-to-hand, but when he does, I'd see him as more of a fists man. Let him work his Diffusion magic.

like a lightsaber but made of Energon? That would be a good idea. If everyone can use the Starsaber why can't Magnus? go with the sword

Because the Star Saber is in an alternate reality? :P

anemis wrote:well actually the sword would be an energy-type one....

I guessed it would be, given that it'd be inhabiting a similar space to the wrist cannons - the only way it'd logically fit would be to have a light sabre jobbie.
But personally, I don't think what the sword's made from is the point (so to speak). I just don't see him using one at all - I don't think it suits his style. From what we've seen of him, he specialises in ranged combat, but when he does have to throw down, I think he'd rely on his bare hands. I've seen him fight with his fists, but never with a blade.

agreed. Amazing work so far. No Sword though please. Maybe a big club. Mace. Battle Axe. Something blunt. When I think of UM I think (like said above) either range weapons or brute force. Swords are much more swift, delicate weapons. Just doesn't suit him IMHO.
till all are one.
