I loved TFCon last year. It was my first year attending it. Can't go this year cause it is in April. But to answer some of your questions...
You can expect to find items that are no longer in production that are mint in the box as well as loose figures and some current figures. BBTS was there last year with loads of items as well as some other large dealers. I would not expect items that have not made it to the stores yet in the dealer room. If that would happen it would be announced on the TFCon web page. If Hasbro Canada brings any pre-releases don't expect anything that is out "months ahead of time".
Cybertron.ca is also a good source of information and watch for updates on the TFCon web site.

I'm a fan whose a dealer as well, I'll only have majority loose G1 and G2 stuff.
From the previous 6 of 7 TFCons I've attended, there's always people old and new. But of course maybe 1 or 2 dealers have stuff that's *just* been released. Trust me, there's lots of variety, I bought stuff that I didn't know that was going to be there. There's also the dealer who bring some non-TF stuff to sell. Like me, I'll be bringing some Star Wars and Star Trek stuff, since I can't sell on the Sunday show.
So any TF-related figures that's been released for at least a month should be there, (from what I've seen in previous years).
I'm just hoping, even in this slaggin economy, TFCon will be as good as previous years.
So you other people reading, bring money!!! My small fry operation does have some surprises
