I just realized, the whole "leaking lubricants" thing in the first movie is a nod towards G1 and Ironhide always saying "Leakin' lubricants!", especially since he was the first one to say that he got leaked on by Mojo in the first film.

See, and all you little whiners got pissed off at that scene as well, but its actually a nod to G1 so there!

no walking piles of scrap for TF2! robots on screen for more than 20 minutes! keep the camera still in the action sequences so we can see what's happening!

So...

Ugly robots fighting can be made at any point, regardless of plot. Thus plot notes begin to look like this:

"Characters walk around, (insert fight on bridge), Female wiggles breasts (insert fight on empire state build, prime waiving american flag), Male makes joke about something macho (insert urination gag, maybe Grimlock marks territory, showers old black lady), (Insert Fight), Military explains plot, (Insert Fight), (Insert Fight), (Insert Fight), (Insert Fight), (Insert Fight), (Insert Fight)... opening day swim in pool of cocain."

Shouldn't take more than a month to write. Especially with the talent it has behind it.

I was talking more about the alluding rather than recreating. Ironhide said mojo leaded lubricants on him, and in the very first episode of G1, Ironhide said "Leakin' Lubricants".

This isnt a coincidence.

Devastator gets his ass whooped by Ultra Magnus who is a freightliner which carries a bunch of Autobots. He only takes out his leg though.

It sounds like "devestator" is gonna be the next bonechrusher, 90 sec screen time, followed by a grunt or two, and then a a body part comming off.

However, the ultra magnus thing sounds cool
