The Dude wrote:Dude, I've already started a script for a fourth Transformers movie. It will be a reboot, it will be faithful to the original cartoon (with a few alterations), and it will treat the robots as its main characters. And it will have Gary Chalk and David Kaye as the leaders. Yesss. In other words, it will be TF1 done right.

Rodimus the Prime wrote:I'd love to see a total reboot. More or less what Hasbro does with pretty much every incarnation of TFs.
In particular, I'd love to see a director prove that the classic aesthetic can not only work, but look extraordinary on the big screen, as I believe it can. And I really want to see more of Cybertron; this is something that would be a phenomenal spectacle for film, period, if done correctly.
starscreamers wrote:Yeah, there should be Transformers 4, and it should be a reboot. A whole new trilogy. And a director like "James Cameron" would take it to a whole new level. And it should be darker, and not so much humer. Like "Terminator" or "Aliens". And by episode 6, it would take place completly on Cybertron, in a massive battle to end all battles.

Its a toyline for children. They'd never have an R rated TF movie.
Well, if they make a reboot, it should be.
There will allways be a TF carton and a toyline for both.
Look at Avitar, it's a serious movie, and it's the #1 grossing movie of alltime. I am positive that if TF went that direction it would be an even bigger blockbuster.

Yeah, sure, a rated R TF movie. The franchise is TARGETED AT KIDS for Primus' sake. Hasbro still wants to make money off the kids no matter what, even if they already have a cartoon out. And with a PG-13 movie, it will get a good balance of both kids and adults. Kids like Transformers, so why make a gory violent movie that is innappropriate for them? That would limit the audience more than what it is now. And honestly, what more can you do to make TF rated R?
By the way, Avatar was rated PG-13 too. I don't see your point there.
