I'm too lazy to try and dig it up, sorry. But I remember reading it in an interview or statement he made regarding either this fourth movie, or the ride, and it was published on Seibertron. It was an offhand remark, not "HEY EVERYBODY I'M MAKING A MOVIE FOR KIDS", but it was there.

As for the fan service, he was on record in the ROTF DVD commentaries, saying that he met this bunch of kids at a convenience store who, when he asked what they liked about the TF movie, said it was Megan Fox. He expected them to name one of the robots, but they all chose Fox. And it that's what the audience wants, it's what they'll get.

MINDVVIPE wrote:Not bad... The truck has some character, and is at least a military vehicle. That's already a miracle by Bay's standards. I doubt any movie hound figure will have me replacing my classics version, but by all means, they should try to get me to.
People don't like the new BB vehicle mode? Why not? This is way better than the crappy current day muscle cars, all bloated and bland. When looks are concerned, BB looks awesome as an old Camaro... Plus he's a transformer, he can probably go faster than any Camaro actually can

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.
