Transformers Animated: A Singular Continuity
Transformers Animated: A Singular Continuity

Continuing on from his post concerning the Concept Art for Prowl, Wyatt has posted that thanks to the involvement of the Transformers Animated production team across the various Transformers Animated Mediums, that Transformers Animated can be deemed to belong to the one Singular Universe.
We really consider Eric to be part of the show's creative team anyway. I'm sure it is hard for Hasbro to coordinate everything. Since Marty Isenberg actually wrote the Transformers Animated: The Arrival comic for IDW himself, we consider that part of the show continuity. I got to do some designs for the IDW comic as well. Marty also was involved with the story for the Nintendo DS game. Having the show creators involved in these types of projects really helps them feel more like they are all part of the same universe.
Also mentioned in his post are that Wyatt loved the concepts for Animated Oil Slick (created by Hasbro's Eric Siebenaler) right from the get go, and that there are:
absolutely TONS of G1 concepts that are practically begging to be in Animated. Maybe some of them will get to.

Isn't he confirmed for Season 3?

I've heard varying things regarding him in S3. If he's confirmed I'll be extraordinarily happy.

And I think we're all safe from the ABSOLUTE WORST IDEA to ever hit Transformers - Masterforce. The toys are great, sure, but the robots aren't sentient. They're just big vehicles essentially.

Masterforce is an absolutely brilliant show, and certainly far from the worst idea in Transformers history.

Look, there's Optimus Prime. No, wait, his name is Ginrai. Why? Because that's the name of the guy that pilots him.
He's not alive, no Matrix, no nothing. He's basically Daimos. That's the heart of darkness right there.
However awful some of the ideas were in Animated (Constructicons much) nothing holds a candle to Ginrai.

Wait, you're insulting Daimos now too? Have you even watched Masterforce? Or are you just railing against an idea you read about and have never actually seen in execution?

I did watch some Masterforce. The episode where Doubleclouder fights King Poseidon, the one where Ginrai fights Overlord and then Black Zarak on the moon, where Ginrai fights King Poseidon. The execution is fine. It's the fact that I want all my TFs as intelligent sentient beings, not just the Seacons and a few others.

Funny you mention the Seacons, cuz only Turtler was sentient and all the limbs were drones...and there were armies of them. Seriously, start Masterforce from the beginning and go through to the end. It all works out and makes sense. And the humans work well in their roles. And the Pretenders are actually very well executed, IMO.

The only good thing about Masterforce is when the end credits come up because then you know the show is done! Masterforce is hot garbage!

First off, it's not Prime. Second, it's not piloted so much as merged with. Seriously, start from the beginning.
