That's because his shoulder canons serves a dual purpose here. So no extra budget for the swords.
Authentics bravo class Optimus Primal.
He's... actually pretty good. I expected this to be very hollow and weightless like the other ones from the same toyline, but no. It's the opposite.
He has a decent amount of articulation, NONE of the pieces have fallen off, he doesn't look very hollow except on his legs and a little on the arms, and he actually has weight.
The painting and sculpting are good.
The arms and legs can bend and because they're on a balljoint they can also swivel. The head can only look from side to side in robot mode and the gorilla head can only look up and down.
For the accessories he has two blasters which are stored on his back.
He unfortunately doesn't have his two swords.
I'd say it's a good Optimus Primal for those looking for cheap.

No sets for any Authentics toys so far.
Not even 3D printed filler pieces or upgrade kits exist for any and those seriously needs them. Sure, those would also defeat the point of Authentics, but some designs are really good and could deserves the upgrade.

Doesn't look like they bend, so I doubt it. This line isn't known for including articulation that isn't necessary for transformation.Cheetron wrote:He looks good. But do his knees bend or just turn?

Yes, each leg is two pieces in order to let the lower legs rotate at the "knee" for the transformation.cloudballoon wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Doesn't look like they bend, so I doubt it. But the upper legs are grey & lower legs are purple plastics. So there should be a joint there. Would be mighty stupid of Hasbro not to put ball joints at the knees rather than mushroom/pin joints.

Ball joints aren't used in these "shampoo bottle" lines.
