It's like how Siege Sideswipe is basically MP Junior, or how several Unicron era toys were similar to classics designs (I think I got those 2 right). They share engineering and Transformations and such, but no part of the mold used for one was used to make the other.
Hence, entirely new mold.
Tis true especially with Optimus Primes. Quite a lot of them transform very similar to each other and most importantly to his G1 self. In this case though, there is very little distinction in the transformation. This however does not detract anything from Legendary OP.william-james88 wrote:But you can say that about a lot of toys. This same logic would be that MP 10 is the sane toy as MP 01 but smaller.carytheone wrote:This is one of those stements that should be proceeded by "technically" and a glasses push up. You mean it's finally IN scale with Studio Series.I think it has to be fairly widely acknowledged at this point that not making the first SS Optimus a leader class was a blow to the whole "scale!" fortissimo of the line. The realization grows starker and starker with every release. You could argue it's close, but it's just not there. Optimus towers above the cohort in almost every scene, and my SS is pretty much equal with Ironhide in stature. Needed another inch or so.

No. SS Prime may be a lil small but no way should he should have been leader class at all. That would mean Starscream, Megatron, Blackout, Grimlock and such would have all had to be even bigger and that would push the size and costs way too high.
Well, they had that Stomp n Chomp one, I think that would work!!-Kanrabat- wrote:...And Grimlock would be freaking TITAN class.

Thanks!! It was a lot of fun.ZeroWolf wrote:That is an awesome picture. Also when you look at height charts of the movie characters, they have got it right where they can. What doesn't help is that height seems to change in different scenes (how the scenes are shot doesn't help)

The practical answer would be probably between 1995-2002. Bu to me, it's only been the past few years, since we had the Prime Wars Trilogy Toys.
Previous Generation line toys were *neat* but didn't really evoke the feeling of the original series, nor has anything IDW published, except for All Hail Megatron, which was the brief highlight of the whole 13 year run.
Was this your first time ordering from there?chuckdawg1999 wrote:My legendary prime processed from Amazon Japan, wasn't all smooth sailing but I got it.

Has anyone reported them coming with weapons? I'm asking because mine actually did come with his grey blaster and shoulder cannon battery.
