So here's the 4th use of the Datsun mold, of which I am a mark. Well, for the Datsun 280zx, not the mold. But I love my Datsun guys.



In my headcanon, Bluestreak becomes Silverstreak after the war is mainly over, having been damaged but repaired and gotten over his trauma from the destruction of Praxis. With a new lease on life and a new paint job, he re-dubs himself Silverstreak - a much more confident and slightly less talkative warrior and friend to Bumblebee.

Looks good, I can't wait to get him. Now that Skids is on the way, he's the only one I'm missing out of my '84-'85 Autobot lineup. Unfortunately my Target has no orders for new Buzzworthy figures for a couple of weeks.

Looks great! I don't know why I feel compelled to buy this one now after seeing it, I was perfectly content with passing on 5th repaint. I'm also curious why they keep using this mold with all the complaints people seem to have against it.

Although, examining him, I can see I'm going to need another one to take the legs apart and surgically graft to Prowl.

Or you could paint Prowls' legs. You'd have to do that anyway if you wanted them to properly match, since his legs are silver (or if you go the Roger Rabbit-former route, gray-cheaply-standing-in-for-silver) rather than white.

Or you could paint Prowls' legs. You'd have to do that anyway if you wanted them to properly match, since his legs are silver (or if you go the Roger Rabbit-former route, gray-cheaply-standing-in-for-silver) rather than white.

I know it wouldn't be perfect if they weren't silver, but at a glance it looks much better in uhh...anime white...as it were. I'm not really a painter, so that's probably not going to work out too well.

Yeah same here, if you don't use an air brush then I'm going to get lines.

How about the ninth use? The Siege mold was retooled slightly into Earthrise so this is the ninth overall.

Yeah it was kind of a coincidence for me, I just happened to read the above post about the 1 o'clock availability at 12:55 and quickly logged into Pulse and refreshed the order page at 1 and voila. Now I don't have to keep checking my Target twice a week until I find one. The stockboy told me the other night they had TONS of Kups and Bees so they weren't ordering any Buzzworthy stuff for a while and it's the only Target in town.

...I was gonna wait to find Silverstreak in stores still, but this sentence right here convinced me otherwise since this is EXACTLY the kind of thing that would happen with my luck. I can almost guarantee if I missed it today I would never see him in store, and because I did get him today, now I'll see him immediately when I next visit Target instead.

I just started seeing Kup and B-127, but CJ is a cryptid as far as my Target is concerned.

I bought him for peace of mind. Now I don't have to even go to Target anymore (and the ironic thing is the store is directly across the street from my place, like a 2 minute walk!) because blue Bluestreak is the last piece of the collection I was going for. I literally have nothing else to hunt for, except maybe a better Shockwave than Siege, and beast Inferno and Tarantulas when they come out later. But otherwise, I'm down to collecting the rest of the SS86 Dinobots and hopefully a clean version of Siege Springer in either SS86 or Selects.

So for someone who has not yet experienced the mold, which one would be the best, easiest and somewhat less expensive version to get between the Earthmode Streaks / Smoke / Prowl / Barricade to get?

B3cayse of this I decided to swing by my Target anyway, and sure enough there's blue Bluestreak, along with the 1st wave of Legacy.

Silverstreak, he's the only one left available at retail prices right now.
