Silverstreak by a mile.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

Undoubtedly. Much more vibrant than the watered-down version of the Alitalia deco.Sabrblade wrote:You know, I bet this mold would sell more like hotcakes if it were in Slicer colors.
First-Aid wrote:I see one of two possibilities.
1. Hasbro accidentally produced too many of this mold and are trying desperately to get rid of them any way they can.
2. They decided that simply repainting a G1 themed figure was too expensive and decided to see just how stuck in a rut Geewunners are by trying to release the same beloved character in multiple packages designed to make you think it is something different....you know, like a repaint but without the repaint. Hell it isn't even a different character like the Seekers are. They just repackaged him. Now they sit back and watch and the Geewunners, in their clamoring for anything G1-related, beat each other up to find the different packaging while Hasbro execs sit on the pile of money they conned them out of. It's like releasing a new G1-themed character without having to do any retool or redesign, but counting on the name WHEELJACK and Geewunners to make money without any effort on their part.

Or it simply sells to patents/kids, the targeted audience. As the articke asks, do you see all these different packages of the same figure at the same time on shelves? If not, then it means they sell.

Actually, yes I DO see them all on the shelves at the same time (when I actually see anything on the shelf at all...). And that is disturbing.

Sorry, I don't get what you mean by what you wrote in parentheses. So there are empty shelves and then when they are restocked you see wheeljacks from lines that are both recent and from 2 years ago?

Well, Buzzworthy Bumblebee is a Target-exclusive line, so these new Buzzworthy releases of 1-Step Wheeljack wouldn't be at Walmart anyway.DeathReviews wrote:There haven't been so many Wheeljack figures near my realm. Here's a snapshot of what my minions have been seeing, at least in the Walmarts they trawl at my command:

I don't think re-releasing one-steps have to do with the characters, but keeping the bucks/molds in circulation. I'd like to think I have a fairly robust collection of one-step figures and one thing I can tell you is the same basic molds/bucks get used over and over, remember those butterfly knife transformation figures? Wheeljack is a new mold that I'm surprised hasn't been reused yet, Hasbro is probably re-releasing the figure to squeeze what they can out of the tooling.
